Hi,
The latest update of enfold did not agree with my wordpress hosted by godaddy. As soon as I tried to update my main page, it broke the site to where I had to reinstall a backup of the db. Trying again did the same thin. I reinstalled the latest version of enfold which repeated this error. So I dug up an OLD version (3 or 4 versions back) and have that live with wp 5.1.1. NOW, when I go to edit my page I get a “classic” edit panel followed by the avia layout builder. When I try to edit with the avia, published results generate a webpage with .<br>s and .<p>s all over the page.
Many plugins are not available with godaddy because of a php update issue which godaddy claims is not really an issue.
Please help. I’d like to see ONLY the avia layout builder edit when I try to update my menu.
Thanks.

Sorry for the problem, we would need to be able to see the actual problem in order to help you out. Is there anywhere where we can do so?
Best regards,

Thanks for that, though we can’t see much of your installation if the account doesn’t have admin rights. Could you upgrade the account please?
Best regards,

Sorry about that. I’ve just updated the account to admin. Please have a look :)
Thanks,
MichaelMay 5, 2019 at 12:35 pm #1097397Hi Michael,
Thanks for that. I’m not really familiar with GoDaddy but your site seems to be running an old version of PHP, was that what you were referring to before? If so then do you know which version you are running? We recommend that you should run 7.1 or higher.
I see that you have version 4.1.2 installed of the theme, did you get all these problems once you updated to the latest version? We can help you out with updating if that is the issue.

RikardMay 6, 2019 at 11:47 pm #1097847Hi,
I’ve just upgraded php to version 7.2. The same problem persists.
Yes, the problem occurred at the last enfold theme update. So I removed the theme files completely and reinstalled an older version of enfold that I had saved locally.
Yes, I would kindly appreciate your help with updating.
Thanks

Thanks for the update. We can help you out with updating but we can’t guarantee that you won’t get the same problem again though. Please verify that you have backups of the site in case something should go wrong. We also need FTP login details in order to update your site.
Best regards,
RikardMay 7, 2019 at 9:24 pm #1098204Thanks, but that doesn’t sound too reassuring :) I’ll keep it at the version I have as I already tried a complete re-install over FTP during my early troubleshooting and it didn’t work. That, of course, was before I updated my PHP version but I’m very hesitant to try it again.
Thanks again for your help.
