Hi guys,
Please see here on the homepage near the bottom: http://www.microstockman.com
Look for the section titled “Recommended Microstock Agencies” – this is a partner/logo element.
On Safari it works perfectly, but on Chrome & Firefox the logo’s are all tiny and bunched up on the far right. The same problem occurs using my iPhone.
I found this code:
#top .avia-logo-element-container img { width: auto; }
on the forums that I tried, it seemed to work once, but now its still broken.
EDIT: Ok, this is even weirder. I have now realised that it doesn’t work in safari either UNLESS YOU ARE LOGGED IN. So thats why it wasn’t working in Chrome etc, because I wasn’t logged in. So now the real issue is – why does it work when logged in, and not when logged out?
Also, on this page: http://www.microstockman.com/portfolio in the special heading at the top, notice the top of the “&” symbol is chopped off and I can’t figure out why? Whenever I put a special heading in at the top it does this.
Finally, Firefox does not seem to be picking up the background colours of color sections. For instance, on the page above (portfolio), there is a grey bar with a button in it. Shows up fine on Safari and Chrome. But on Firefox its white. As is the breadcrumb bar, and all other alternate colour sections.
Really hope you can help get these fixed asap.
Help please!
Thanks

April 10, 2014 at 3:22 pm #249793Hi THP!
Can you add all custom CSS code you added on http://pastebin.com/ and post the link here so we can take a look?

YigitApril 11, 2014 at 12:04 am #249975Hi guys,
I haven’t added much so I’ll just post it here (hope that is ok)
#top .avia-logo-element-container img { width: auto; } .big-preview { pointer-events: none; } .image-overlay { background: transparent; } .main_color .image-overlay .image-overlay-inside::before { background: #FF972D; } .image-overlay.overlay-type-extern .image-overlay-inside::before { background: #FF972D; } .footer_color .news-thumb { background: none; }
They are basically just code changes I found on the forum to fix a few things.
Hope that helps
Thanks
April 11, 2014 at 1:08 am #249985Hey!
Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab
body .av-special-heading .av-special-heading-tag { padding-top: 1px; }
This should fix ‘&’ issue. Do you mind creating a temporary admin login and posting it here privately? I would like to check the element

Re-activate your caching plugin and clear its cache. You are still actually seeing the homepage from 3 days ago. Caching plugins keep the old cache active even after you have deactivated them so you need to clear it before deactivating.
For an admin who is logged in you will see the non cached version which leads to seeing something only when logged out.
Best regards,
DevinApril 14, 2014 at 9:28 am #250957Hi Devin,
Thanks for looking into it. I have done so, but as yet the problems remain (perhaps a little time needs to pass?) – I cleared the cache and then did a PreLoad of it, but no luck.
Would you mind taking a further look? There are a number of issues on top of the homepage logo slider one – the menu not working on iPhone (other than the last two items, which work fine), and the grey alternate colour not showing on firefox (http://www.microstockman.com/microstock-shop/ – the background section at the top called “Microstock Shop” is all grey on browsers other than Firefox).
Cheers, thanks for your assistance
April 17, 2014 at 2:05 am #252382Hi guys,
Could you please take a look again at the bugs mentioned above? I have the latest theme version (2.6.4) and WordPress 3.9 as of today, still the same problems. I really need your help with these.
Thanks

Did you try to deactivate all plugins – maybe a plugin causes the issue? I.e. I noticed that the wordfence plugin is active and I guess that the wordfence plugin may manipulate the website output if the user is not logged in. This would also explain why the website works if you’re logged in and doesn’t if you’re logged out.

PeterApril 22, 2014 at 9:33 am #254241Hi Peter,
Thanks for getting back to me, I really appreciate it.
I just deactivated all plugins, and indeed it fixed the logo element problem. But turning them on one by one I am unable to pinpoint the problem, as it occurs randomly.
Also, deactivating the plugins didn’t fix the broken menu on iPhone. This seems to be a different issue – any thoughts?
Thanks
April 23, 2014 at 2:31 am #254727Ok update – using the Grid setting seems to avoid the plugin conflict (which I still can’t work out which one is causing it). So I will just go with that for now.
However, the iPhone menu thing is interesting. I have just found what I think is a fix, but it needs your help. If the top level menu item on a mega menu or drop down menu has a “#” in the url field, instead of blank, then the sub level of that menu will work. However, when it comes to Mega Menu’s, that only allows you to see the menu columns, and you still can’t click those individual columns – it seems they too need a “#” in the url field – except there is no URL field for mega menu columns. So is there a way to have the theme insert #’s in mega menu columns so they become clickable?
By the way, this is with the “Hide Mobile Menu Submenu Items” ticked in Enfold settings. Turning this setting off completely allows the menu to work fine.
Finally, the latest enfold update (2.7 I think) seems to have introduced a bug in the breadcrumbs, where if a post has multiple categories that it is in then those multiple categories show up in the breadcrumbs, with the post title repeated as well. See here for example: Microstock Man 2014
Looking forward to your thoughts and assistance

Any thoughts on fixing the sliding mega menu for phones? Please help!

April 28, 2014 at 4:00 pm #257137Hi!
I don’t quite understand the issue with the menu. What is the layout that I can re-create the issue with?
For any other issues please make a new topic. It makes it difficult to respond to multiple issues in the same topic and for others to find answers otherwise.

DevinApril 29, 2014 at 2:35 am #257423Hi Devin,
ok, sorry about the multiple issues in one thread.
As for the menu, you have a login (in private post above) to my site, so you can clearly see the structure. Basically, there are a couple of mega menu’s with 3 or 4 columns. Initially I couldn’t click and expand these at all on a phone. Since adding the “#” in the url field, now I can. But I can only get to the column titles – i can’t click these and expand them to reveal the menu items below them. So basically, my first two menu items (“Beginners Guide” and “Reviews”) are useless on a phone currently.
Please try my site on your phone and login to the admin and see the structure. Hopefully you will see clearly what I am talking about.
Cheers

May 2, 2014 at 4:16 pm #259465You have the option selected to hide mobile menu Submenu items in the Header Layout>Mobile Menu settings.
May 4, 2014 at 9:01 am #259900Hi Devin,
If you mean this:
Hide Mobile Menu Submenu Items
By default all menu items of the mobile menu are visible. If you activate this option they will be hidden and a user needs to click on the parent menu item to display the submenusThen yes, it is selected. That is what I want. But the point is the SUBMENU items CAN’T be clicked under the first two menu’s “Beginners Guide” & “Reviews”. So yes, the parent item expands just as a I want it to, but then the submenu’s can’t be clicked to expand out the submenu options.
May 6, 2014 at 5:01 am #260554I run enfold on another site too: http://www.timhester.com.au and I have the same issue there, confirming that it is indeed an issue. The submenu’s of a Mega Menu cannot be accessed by clicking the parent menu item on an iPhone (I’m guessing any phone, but only have iPhone to test, tried two version – 3GS, and iPhone 4)
Try the “Buy Stock Images” menu on that site, you cannot access the submenu’s on a mobile.
Please help! I have purchased Enfold multiple times and recommend it to clients, I love it, but do need more assistance with this issue.
Cheers
May 8, 2014 at 6:55 pm #261930What you are describing is how the menu is intended to work with that option as far as I know. Because the sub-menu has no link, there is nothing to link to (just #).
May 9, 2014 at 2:53 am #262095This reply has been marked as private.May 10, 2014 at 7:03 am #262722I am confused about this as well. Basically it seems like the Mega Menu doesn’t function on mobile devices if you select “Hide Mobile Menu Submenu Items”? Because the only way the Mega Menu submenu items under the column heads can be accessed is if you don’t “Hide” them? And the only way your whole menu is accessible with “Hide Mobile Menu Submenu Items” is if you do NOT have any Mega Menu columns?
Please tell me if this is correct:
“Hide Mobile Menu Submenu Items” only lets you access those “hidden” submenu items IF they’re NOT in Mega-Menu columns?I would like to get the Mega Menu Column Heads to work the same as top-level menu items on mobile, so that when you click on them they show their “hidden” submenu items. Actually they do work like this on the desktop, when you make the browser window narrow so the slide-out mobile menu appears; but it doesn’t work on mobile devices.
If you have so many menu items you need to organize them into columns with a Mega Menu, that’s exactly when it would be good to have clickable column heads expanding a submenu on a mobile menu! On a tiny mobile screen it’s hard to scroll through a long list of all the menu items. It would be much better to have just the column heads, and let you see the “hidden” submenus under each one when you click each column head.
Is there any way to have Mega Menus with columns AND select “Hide Mobile Menu Submenu Items,” and allow the user to click the column heads to show the “hidden” submenus under each column head?
May 10, 2014 at 8:47 am #262740Yes! This is EXACTLY what I am trying to explain – maybe you have explained it better. Thanks for chiming in inSight.
I really hope the Enfold team can make a fix for this.
