Child Theme Installation

Hi there,

I’ve just installed a child theme for http://www.narrativecounselling.com and imported my parent site settings. Its all worked well except for the menu appearance and text colour on some of the sections and footers.
I have a little bit of quick css in the general styling section of the parent to get my menu looking right. The child seems to be ignoring this. I also dont understand why some of my text is green in the child while in the parent its blue.
Any help much appreciated!
