    I have added the includes folder in my child theme and placed a customized comments.php file within, but the theme is still using the default comments file.

    Ideas?

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    You don’t need to place the comments.php file inside the includes folder.

    Sorry, I left out that I don’t want that file to change when I update the theme and I found a thread on Enfold support that said to place it in the includes folder. So are you saying to just place it in the child theme folder?

    Yes, it should work if you place the file in the root folder of the child theme.
