    hello-
    I just noticed this on my site running 4.41 but tried on stage site with 4.5 still a problem

    I had a customer go through checkout and when they put their address in with state as Minnesota – no tax was taken. Luckily I was helping him and realized no tax was being applied. I put in state as “MN” and tax worked correctly.

    I just went through woo support and they said
    “Your theme would be in charge of making sure that the checkout data is input properly”

    so I am wondering is there something I am missing on setting the site so proper tax is taken taking into account people enter addresses differently.

    I figured out problem. My error – I had a snippet plugin code removing state drop down box.
