Hi, I am working with a new client who programmed their own theme. They have a folder called projects instead of portfolio items and when I switched the theme over to enfold the pages were gone. what can I do to retrieve them without manually having to rebuild them all?
Hey Tina,
We can’t say for sure what the other site did, but it’s likely that they added a custom post type for their projects? If so then simply move the code which adds the custom post type from the old theme into Enfold.
Best regards,
Rikard
I found a plugin called types from OnTheGoSystems on the old website that is not supported anymore. I think this is causing the problem. I exported the code from the plugin but dont know what to do with it. I pasted it below in the private content. hope you can have a look at it and help.
Thanks so much
Martina
Hi,
I don’t know what to do about that either to be honest with you. I would recommend that you find the taxonomy of the registered post type, then try to register it again manually using your own code. We can’t really help you out with that since it’s not theme related.
Best regards,
Rikard
Thanks Rikard for looking into this,
what plugin would you recommend to add custom post types?
Do you have any instructions to “find the taxonomy of the registered post type, then try to register it again manually” I don’t really know where to look for info about that.
thanks
Martina
