I’ve noticed that too many settings defined for WordPress and WooCommerce before Enfold installation are silently changed by Enfold.
All of that new changes are highly unwelcomed, sorry. (
Where can I get the complete list of changes that Enfold applies by its own just by the fact of its installation to WordPress and any of its plugins settings?
How can I disable this destructive functionality via child theme only?
How can I get the refund and cancel my license if those questions have no answer?April 17, 2016 at 7:49 pm #615867Hey kacharava!
We do not handle Refunds, envato does, so you will have to contact them, if you are not satisfied in the end.
Before that, although, can u please explain us what changes we make, so we can be sure to assist you?
We can not help if we are driven blind. Thanks a lot
Cheers!
BasilisApril 17, 2016 at 8:44 pm #615897Actually I’m not sure I’ve discovered all the changes made by Enfold. And I don’t want to be surprised finding new ones. That’s why I’m insisting on the complete list of changes, not help with every particular change.
At the moment I’ve found that it has changed WP Large size image size to 1030 (was 1024), it has changed WooCommerce Single Product Image to 450×999 (I may be wrong as I’ve changed it back) with no crop (was 600×600 with cropping), it has disabled WooCommerce’s Lightbox not even leaving me an option to use it, it has replaced WooCommerce’s sorting dropdowns, it has added Portfolio (what is that btw?), it has added tons of absolutely unneeded image sizes… Should I continue?
Please, asking you again, I’m not going to ask for assistance with every issue caused by Enfolds self-sufficiency. I just want to know them all to get myself confident If I can live with them if they couldn’t be switched off, or I’d better use another theme that doesn’t think it’s knows better what do I need.
Sorry once again, Enfold is a beautiful looking and a powerful theme full of different abilities. But… It infuriates!!!
April 19, 2016 at 3:37 pm #617469Hi!
check if you get the same results with a default WP theme, to make sure Enfold is really causing it. I doubt it to be honest, because WordPress is cropping images by default when uploading them. You can control this default behavior with a plugin like: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/

April 19, 2016 at 5:00 pm #617558April 19, 2016 at 6:28 pm #617602First of all, Andy, I do understand that you really want to help. Ok?
But why have you stuck on image sizes man?
The question is Where can I get the complete list of changes that Enfold applies by its own just by the fact of its installation to WordPress and any of its plugins settings?.
Does this question has the answer? As for your link I can not find 450×999 image size there while this size applies to WooCommerce products with Enfold installation. There is no 1030×1030 either. And no trace of 80×80 or 120×120.
I’ve spent an hour of my life to make those screenshots, specially for you to enjoy.
Here’s a list of currently installed plugins:
Those plugins are the only plugins that exist in my WP installation either before Enfold activation or after. Here are default WP/2016 image settings:
Here are default WooCommerce/2016 image settings:
WooCommerce/2016 image settings" />Here are new WP/Enfold image settings:
Here are new WooCommerce/Enfold image settings:
WooCommerce/Enfold image settings" />Please note that the only action done to achieve those results was pressing the “Activate” button near Enfold’s thumbnail in WordPress’s Themes. I haven’t even pressed any button within Enfold’s settings.
But my question is still Where can I get the complete list of changes that Enfold applies by its own just by the fact of its installation to WordPress and any of its plugins settings?.
Thank you
April 20, 2016 at 9:51 am #618113Hey!
I think I don’t get your question, because the link I have send to you is already the list of image sizes that Enfold applies by its own. You can control those image sizes with a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
Please activate a default WP theme to check if you get similar results with it or not and let us know about your results here, if you still need help from us.

AndyApril 20, 2016 at 10:28 am #618139The Enfold’s changes still there after returning to Twentysixteen.
I can’t get your question.
Why not you just install WP4.5, load it with WooCommerce 2.5.5, confirm default settings then activate Enfold and notice that the settings are now changed? Then you may get back to Twentysixteen just to make yourself sure that the new settings are still active even after returning to Twentysixteen?By the way is there any chance my initial question will be answered?
April 20, 2016 at 12:53 pm #618260Hi,
Where can I get the complete list of changes that Enfold applies by its own just by the fact of its installation to WordPress and any of its plugins settings?
There’s no “detailed” list of things modified by Enfold to plugins, however you can find these modifications in the following files (for each respective plugin):
/config-bbpress/config.php /config-gravityforms/config.php /config-woocommerce/config.php /config-wordpress-seo/config.php
For example, in case of WC you can find the modified/added image sizes in 13-15 of /config-woocommerce/config.php:
$avia_config['imgSize']['shop_thumbnail'] = array('width'=>120, 'height'=>120); $avia_config['imgSize']['shop_catalog'] = array('width'=>450, 'height'=>450); $avia_config['imgSize']['shop_single'] = array('width'=>450, 'height'=>999, 'crop' => false);
How can I disable this destructive functionality via child theme only?
Not possible, you’ll need to modify the parent functions.php and remove/comment line 418 to 422.
Hope that answers your questions :)
Best regards,
JosueApril 20, 2016 at 1:16 pm #618278Unfortunately, it did answer my question.
