Hi guys! I have a site that I copied completely but want to change the name of the Child Theme’s name. However, when I do that in the style.css file it messes up all the CSS on the site. Can you provide some advice on how I can do this? Thanks!

Thanks for contacting us!
Please go to Enfold theme options > Import & Export tab and export theme options, rename your child theme, go back to Import & Export tab and import theme options :)
Best regards,

When I click Export theme settings and open the file, I get a string of just a bunch of random letters.

Those are your theme options :)
You can go ahead and import it in Enfold theme options after renaming your child theme :)Best regards,
YigitDecember 4, 2019 at 7:59 pm #1162714Hi Yigit! Thanks but i’m not sure how to rename the child theme on that file as the file looks like a bunch of letters and is maybe encrypted? Or do I rename the child theme elsewhere and then import that file?
December 4, 2019 at 8:21 pm #1162720That file is only the backup for your theme settings and quick css entries etc. pp.
Renaming the child theme just with a ftp client and rename the child folder if you like and open the style css and rename it on “Theme Name:”
Do not change the part of the parent theme name: “Template: enfold”
This is possible too but …
here are some thoughts on obfuscating the source parent theme: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/source-code-change-delete-theme-name/December 5, 2019 at 7:11 am #1162816Hi,
Thanks for helping out @guenni007, did that answer your question @bobfurgo?

RikardDecember 5, 2019 at 4:28 pm #1163056Hi! Thanks for your input! I tried changing the child theme name via FTP and then importing the txt doc but the css still got all messed up, so I had to change it back to the original name. Is there any chance someone would be able to log in and help me with this? credentials in private area
