I’ve followed the steps from this support ticket, but it’s incomplete:

We’ve created the subfolders in our child theme, and modified the code where needed
    /config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/av-helper-slideshow.php

However, the theme does not currently seem to recognize the code. We’ve flushed the cache and double checked everything, but the code still executes as H2 instead of the desired H3.

Without modifying the parent theme, how can we fix this issue? Since every time we update we would have to modify the parent file again.

    Your assistance is appreciated

    Hi endregan!

The subfolder into the childtheme should be

    /shortcodes/

    to work out.

    Thank you

    Best regards,
    Basilis

No – that did not work

Are you saying the child theme customization path needs to be:
    /shortcodes/av-helper-slideshow.php

    I also tried
    /config-templatebuilder/shortcodes/av-helper-slideshow.php

    ?

Can someone please clarify, Basilis suggestion came fast but it did not work. I’ve provided login info so you can go in and dig a little deeper for a solution

    Hi!

The code you have used, is using the folder /shortcodes/ so that is the folder it has to be used on the child theme.
So, that is the folder where your elements should be located.

    Best regards,
    Basilis

Did you login with the information provided to check? You are still not correct. I don’t even know what you’re talking about.

the file in question in the parent theme is here:
    /wp-content/themes/enfold-child/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/av-helper-slideshow.php
    I’ve placed it in:
    /enfold-child/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/av-helper-slideshow.php

    It is not working.

Can you please be more specific.

The website in question is using Enfold version 3.8.4

    Hi,

To move the changes to your child theme, please refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/add-new-or-replace-advanced-layout-builder-elements-from-child-theme/ :)

    Thank you, that did it.

We definitely missed that step. The steps to do this aren’t very clear and a little all over the map to find the solution!

I am glad it is working now, though
