    Hi, I’m running into an issue where certain page builder elements aren’t loading when clicked. Some fields like Text, Images, and Blog Posts function as normal, but others such as Special Headings, and Animated Numbers fail to load and get stuck on the loading circle or display a plain white screen instead of options. I’ve tried disabling all plugins and enabling parent Enfold, upping the memory limit, etc.

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Have you tried temporarily disabling the plugins? We may need to log in to the site to properly check the issue. Please create a test page and provide the login details in the private field.

    Hi Ismael,

    Yes, I tried disabling all plugins. The site is production, so I made a clone to test on. Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

    Thanks for that. I found the backend of the page, but the frontend displays a 404 page. Did you try toggling the permalinks?

    Your original problem might be due to special characters or custom code, please try removing anything like that from the content to see what happens then.

    Hi,

    I refreshed permalinks, and confirmed everything is displaying on the front end (though feel free to refresh them or anything else you need, it’s a cloned site for testing). I created a new page with just default elements, no custom code, text, or non-default characters, and still getting the same issue.

    Hi,

    Thanks for that. Since you have copied shortcode into widgets, the theme won’t know that they are being used. I would suggest that you set the Disabling Of Template Builder Elements options under Enfold->Performance to always load all elements if you want to use shortcode in widgets.

    Hi Rikard,

    Thank you, but that’s not the problem. I’m talking about the actual page builder elements on the back end of the site not being editable. If I click on some elements like the Special Headings to attempt to edit them, it just loads a totally blank popup. I enabled loading of all elements, but that does not fix the issue.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the clarification. That is likely due to something in your content breaking the layout builder, like special characters or shortcodes. You could try to remove anything like that from the content to see when the problem starts again. You can activate debug mode under Enfold->Layout Builder->Show advanced options in order to display the builder shortcodes, then search and remove content that way.

    Hi Rikard,

    Again, even on a brand new page with nothing but default content I am having the same issue. There is nothing on there but elements directly from Avia Builder with no changes made at all, no special characters or shortcodes. Debug shows “2025-08-09 17:26:42: No errors detected (Check Only)” but the issue persists.

    Thanks for that. There is a 404 error on the WordPress file in private. Please try reaching out to your hosting provider and ask why that is.

    You think it’s likely to be a hosting issue even though only some elements are affected? Do only some call that file?

    Hi,

    I’m not sure unfortunately, but the first step would be to find out why the server is responding with a 404 error on the file in question.
