I might be missing something simple here, but what’s the suggested strategy for making blog / content category pages that showcase the latest content for a particular category?
Thanks!

Category and Archive pages are generated automatically, so you don’t have to do anything really.

RikardMay 17, 2017 at 6:41 pm #795028Thanks, so how would I add that to the main menu? For example, can I have a menu that has something like Pets in the top nav bar and underneath, it shows Dogs?
May 18, 2017 at 5:18 am #795228So I created a new page called Blog and then under Theme Options, specified that page for Where Do You Want to Display the Blog and then under Blog Layout chose the “Use the Advanced Layout Editor…”, however it doesn’t use the page when I create a Menu item to link to a category. Am I missing something?
Thanks!

May 18, 2017 at 7:49 am #795358Hi,
I’m not sure I understand what you mean by your last post, but if you specify the blog page in the theme option then that page will be overridden by the default template. If you want to design your own page then try to specify another page for your blog page in the theme options.
Best regards,
RikardMay 18, 2017 at 8:21 pm #796131Yes, that’s what I tried doing and it didn’t seem to work. I simply want a page with a grid layout of recent posts for each category. So I created a page called Blog that has a grid layout. Then under Theme Options > Where Do you Want to Display… – I specified that page. Also, under Blog Layout, I chose “Use the Advanced Layout Editor…”. I then added a category to the main menu. When I click on that category, it doesn’t use the layout in the page.
