I used Catalogue element to create MENU page for a restaurant. After I updated to WordPress 4.8 catalogue element is blank, I cannot modify anything, however I still can see MENU page on the website. Is there a workaround or fix for this issue? Login credentials in private. Thanks in advance.

    Hey onastvar,

Thanks for the login details, I see the problem on my end too. Could you try to activate debug mode in order to see shortcodes and then copy/paste the shortcode to a new page to see if that helps please? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/

    Best regards,

    Hi,

Seems like we are going to need to take a deeper look. Can you please post FTP logins here privately as well?

After more research and analyzing, reported issue is related to PHP version not version of WordPress. Catalogue Element does not work under PHP 7.1 I had to change my site back to PHP 5.6 and it works now. Please let me know when Catalogue Element is compatible with PHP 7.1

    Hi onastvar,

Thank you for sharing. Do you have a server log with errors that you could share with us, so that we could have a better picture of the issue?

    Best regards,

    Hi Victoria,

I’m seeing the following line in error logs (which is repeated multiple times), I hope this helps:

[Mon Jun 19 09:57:33.578321 2017] [fcgid:warn] [pid 4765] [client 192.168.1.14:51306] mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Warning: Illegal string offset ‘content’ in /var/www/clients/client14/web27/web/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-template-builder/php/shortcode-template.class.php on line 639, referer: http://mywebsite.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=583&action=edit

    Thanks

    Hi onastvar,

Thanks for the error text. But it seems to be working now, isn’t it?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

It’s working because I changed settings for PHP for this website. It only works with PHP 5.6 settings, if I switch back to PHP 7.1 it does not work. I wanted to use PHP 7.1 for this website because it is much faster than PHP 5.6. I have other website using PHP 7.1 with Enfold theme, however other sites do not use Catalog Elements feature.

    Hi,

That is really strange, we have fixed all the issues into php 7 that have raised.
We will do ask our developers to take a look if something is not functioning as should and we will do report back

    Best regards,
    Basilis
