For some reason my cart icon doesn’t appear. The add to cart button appears but no icon or text within

    Hey purejewels,

I can’t view the page you linked to since there is a .htaccess login prompt. Could you post the login details in private please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Sorry, that was foolish of me. See attached. Sometimes you need to enter it twice. Not sure why.

    Hi,
The text for the button is missing,
    Yours:

    <button type="submit" name="add-to-cart" value="297649" class="single_add_to_cart_button button alt"></button>

    Default:

    <button type="submit" name="add-to-cart" value="1098" class="single_add_to_cart_button button alt">Add to cart</button>

note the missing “Add to cart” text
My research shows that if you are using wpml:

Go to the product page and click to edit – In the translation page, click to re-save the translation

If not you may try WC Custom Add to Cart labels

This free plugin allows you to change “add to cart” labels on all single product pages

I’m not sure if this will work if the text is missing in the first place.
Otherwise, have your tried disabling your plugins to see it that helps?

    Best regards,
    Mike

hmm, but I’m not using WPML. Is there anywhere else this could be set? I don’t really want to install a plugin for this purpose.

    Hi,
I can understand that, yet I’m not sure why your install has stripped out the text and a clean install has the text.
If you could try disabling your plugins and any custom functions, if that doesn’t change it, try reinstalling woocommerce, perhaps there is a corrupt file, otherwise can you please include a admin login and FTP access in the private content area so we can take a closer look.
Also in our tests can we disable your plugins and any custom functions?

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
I just realized that we are working on two threads & two issues on the same page, the other issue with the 404 for the js, perhaps that is a factor here. Let’s see if we can get the 404’s fixed first.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    #896923

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Good idea. I think I have four threads running and three could be related potentially. I didn’t want to create one thread with all of the problems I assume that was the correct idea?

    #896925

    Hi,
Yes that was a good idea, and thanks for that, but both of these issues are very odd. Did you say you migrated this from your localhost? Did you use a plugin to do so, which?
I wonder if your migration would cause the same errors on my localhost?

    Best regards,
    Mike

I would have used Akeeba Backup to migrate. But in fact, what I did was use Siteground staging to push from the live to a staging. But I think I copied the database from an old one in an attempt to get some old settings. In any case, I’ve done a find and replace now so that should not be the issue. Ok, I checked the files were somehow missing. Which makes little sense. So I’ve uploaded them, this problem is now solved. The search problem is also solved.

Perhaps I should reinstall the theme altogether.

I’ve decided to FTP all of the files again in case anything is missing.

Can you mark this and my query about search as closed please

    #896935

    Hi,
Thank you for sharing your solution, we will close this now. Thank you for using Enfold.

    Best regards,
    Mike
