Hi folks,
I know this has been answered in forums before but i’m struggling to find a solution.
I’m not a web developer, and I’m only a beginner at this but trying to learn on the run, but I built my own site with enfold and it worked great. My partner has a website and it looked terrible so I wanted to help her move over to the enfold theme. She previously had a custom theme from a web developer and heaps of plugins, but it sold heaps less and was very tricky to maintain. We wanted to make it easy for her to manage it herself.
But every time I try to upload the enfold them to her wordpress it as some sort of error, quite often different each time?
Any advice would be great because it’s driving me nuts. Mine uploaded easy and was great. I have currently put the site into maintenance mode to try to resolve these issues.

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?
Best regards,
VictoriaFebruary 21, 2021 at 12:31 am #1282560Hi Victoria,
Done, do you also need envato market purchase code?
I have been able to load wordpress themes like elementor hello and add the elementor plugin but just seems that enfold will not upload.
I keep getting the errors like this one:
Could not copy file. /home/podiatr1/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/lang/cs_CZ.poTheme installation failed.

Thanks for the update and login details. I can’t see a URL for your site though, could you share that with us as well please?

February 23, 2021 at 11:09 am #1283020what did you try to upload? is it that zip file you got from envato?
there are two downloads on envato – the one with all additional files – and the other one as an istallable zip file with theme files only.
In the first with all files there is included the second one as enfold.zip ( this is the installable zip file )If this is not the problem – and you have got the right zip file – then try to upload the unzippped Theme to the theme-folder by ftp.
February 23, 2021 at 12:25 pm #1283053Hi Guenni007,
Mate I know what I’m looking at. You can download all enfold as a zip, or you can download the WordPress uninstallable zip only. I downloaded both! Neither will upload and I then extracted the zip out of the full enfold and tried that.
I’m not sure why I need to install an FTP just to install a theme when I’ve done it to my own wordpress site from the same location and all worked fine. Is it a hosting issue as my host is different to my partners host?- This reply was modified 3 years, 9 months ago by chellep52131.
February 23, 2021 at 1:48 pm #1283083Well a lot of the other mates do not.
And with one post so far, I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t due to such a trivial error.February 23, 2021 at 10:32 pm #1283261Hi Guenni007,
Thanks mate, I appreciate the endeavor. I should have explained, I did look through quite a lot of discussion threads on this page, some of them you have been involved in, and mentioned the above. I have tried several options to load the file and looked at my hosting provider to see if it was PHP version issue. So far no answers, could be a host space issue and I might need to request more space, but that seems unlikely as I can upload other themes.
I wanted to avoid the FTP thing as I’m not an advanced web developer and it all sounded very complicated just to load a theme to wordpress that essentially should load easily according to the developers own info.
February 24, 2021 at 4:22 pm #1283436Hi chellep52131,
Please share FTP credentials, I tried twice via WordPress and it’s always a different error text. Now it’s this:
Could not copy file. enfold/includes/admin/demo_files/minimal-photography.phpBest regards,
VictoriaFebruary 26, 2021 at 12:07 am #1283764Hi Victoria,
I’m confused? I have mentioned I’m not a designer or a web guru. I have an FTP set up on my computer via windows 10 FTP, but I’m on a private router wifi network at my university, so you won’t be able to access it. I don’t use a third-party FTP. I’m struggling to understand why this is such an issue for this WordPress site and or, why I need to upload the enfold theme via FTP? I’m so frustrated right now!! I hate paying for a product and it doesn’t do what is promised.
As I mentioned in my first post. I have tried everything and have had similar with different error messages. So does that mean it’s an Enfold issue, WordPress issue or a Kriesi issue? I feel I’ve wasted good money buying this theme for my partner and now it won’t work. Her site has been down now due to this for a week. That’s significant revenue lost!! Where can I get a refund from Envato as I’ve had enough of this with no answers from anyone? Where are the Kriesi support staff?? Who am I actually talking to here?
February 27, 2021 at 12:11 pm #1284093Hi,
Thanks for the update. If the problem you are having would be due to the theme, then all of our users would have the same problem. That is not the case, so it’s likely due to something on the server which you are trying to upload it to. I’m guessing that it’s a lack of server space which is throwing the error in question.
When Victoria asked you for FTP login details, then she was referring to access to where the site is actually located. If we can get those details, then we can hopefully upload the theme manually for you.
If you still want a refund, then please reach out to Envato.
Best regards,
