    Hi there

    I’m trying to update the Enfold theme on a client’s site, from version 4.0.5 to version 4.0.7. The error message I’m getting is ‘Update Failed: Download failed. cURL error 35: error:14077410:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:sslv3 alert handshake failure’

    I have tried updating from within WordPress, and via FTP, but the FTP doesn’t seem to work and I’m left with the same error message.

    Please can you advise on a way forward?

    Hey annekindlemix,

    Can you try to give temporary admin and ftp details? so we can try to check it. Just post it in Private Content so it will only be visible to the moderators.

    Many thanks for your reply, much appreciated. I’ve provided temporary admin and ftp logins for you (see private content below). Please note this is a holiday accommodation site taking live bookings online, so if there is likely to be any prolonged interruption to the website service can you let me know so that I can inform the client.

    Sorry for the late response, I have updated it via ftp and it worked well, it’s now 4.0.7.

    I am having this exact same issue. The theme was originally purchased in 2013. I repurchased it and tried to update but receive the error: ‘Update Failed: Download failed. cURL error 35: error:14077410:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:sslv3 alert handshake failure’

    Hey!


    @simpleculture     I updated the theme on your installation however you are using an old PHP version which is not supported by LayerSlider. Please contact your hosting provider and ask them to upgrade PHP to minimum 5.6. Enfold is compatible up to PHP7.1.
