    Hi
I try to translate the pages from French (original language) to English with WPML.
I already done this work on others sites.
But I can do it on this one, with this version, and I don’t understand why ?
The WPML translation editor only offers to translate the title, meta tags, and media, but not the content
    I don’t understand why ?
What I want is to translate the content (I have the translation strings)
I probably have a configuration issu.
Can you please have a look on this development site ?
And try to translate a page ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
what I want to do is translate myself, like the “Scenario 1 : do the translation yourself” of the video here : https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/translation/#how-to-translate-pages-built-with-enfold-using-wpml
But the WPML translation editor don’t offers me to translate the content of the page.

    I suppose I have a wrong WPML configuration ?

    So I need help please.
    Thanks

But I suppose, my problem is a wrong ENFOLD configuration for WPML ?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

We are having a bit of difficulty navigating the site and the WPML settings because of the language. Can we set the default language to EN temporarily? Is this a staging site?

Did you set the Translation Management > Multilingual Content Setup to “Use the translation editor” by default?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,
Yes you can change temporarily the default language.
The site is not in production, it is a development site. (I made a WPvivid backup)

Did you set the Translation Management > Multilingual Content Setup to “Use the translation editor” by default?
I’m not sure because WPML admin has change in this version (compared to video)

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

Looks like they removed the “Use the translation editor” checkbox from the Settings > Multilingual Content Setup tab. The remaining options don’t seem to be working properly with the advance layout builder (ALB). Have you tried cloning the site instead? You can then manually edit the content of the translated page directly in the Advance Layout Builder instead of using the String Translation panel.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,
    OK.
    Pending the corrective update,
I will use the other method : duplicate the page and set it as a translation to the first page.
And after, manually translate the content.

Thanks anyway and have a nice weekend

    Hi,

I had the same problem in the last few days.

With an older version of the WPML plugin it worked perfectly.

I contacted their support. Today they confirmed, that there’s a problem with Enfold Avia builder content and the wpml plugin.

    Temporary workaround: https://wpml.org/errata/enfolds-avia-builder-content-is-not-available-for-the-translation/
Post in the support forum (in german): https://wpml.org/de/forums/topic/uebersetzte-inhalte-werden-nicht-angezeigt/

    Hi,
    Thanks bzumoberhaus for this information.

But I can’t wait the update, because I have to translate the site next week.

So I want to do it manually.
I duplicate a french page, and now I want to set it as the english translation. But I can’t do it too !
Someone knows how to do it ?

I also tried to add a translation by clicking the + .
The page is created, and is empty.
But when I click “copy the french content” >> nothing !!

Do I have to manually add all the content in the translated page ?
There is no other solution ?

    Thanks

    Safe !
I can use the page templates to copy the content and then translate it manually.
if it can help someone else …

    #1231487

There is no need, to duplicate pages. Just follow the instructions in the workaround from wpml: https://wpml.org/errata/enfolds-avia-builder-content-is-not-available-for-the-translation/. I tested it and it works perfect. So you can use the translation editor as usual.

    Regards
    Bernd

Thanks for sharing @Bernd, did you try that out @ppi37?

    Best regards,
