Can't start a support thread on forum

I just updated my theme and paid for a year on ThemeForest. I put my purchase code in, and I can log in to my account and see the forums, but I cannot start a support thread. I can comment on the threads, but I can’t start one.
I’m having an issue with my sidebars not displaying the correct, actually not even recognizing the blog or pages widgets.
I would have put this on the support forum, but like I said, I can’t.
