Hello, since updating to Enfold 4.6.3.1 and WordPress 5.2.4 I can’t save a post using the advanced layout editor.
I can create a post and switch to the editor. However, it saves as a standard post without any of the layout I’ve set up. If I then edit the post, it appears in the standard editor. If I then switch to the advanced editor and click update, the post gets stuck on updating. The Saving icon continually flashes at the top and a spinner appears next to the Avia Layout Builder heading on the page but it never actually saves. I’ve tried deleting and recreating the post, including with a different slug but the same thing happens every time.
I’ve included login details in the private content. I’ve left the most recent attempt at the post as the most recent one called 2019 President’s report.
Thank you for your help.

Thanks for the login details. What happens if you select to use the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options? Also please consider upgrading your PHP version to 7.1 or 7.2.
Best regards,

Sorry about the delay in replying.
If I switch to the Classic Editor, I can see the short codes and the Update button will finish, however the post still doesn’t display any of the styling. If I open the post again and then click on the Advanced Layout Editor button, clicking the Update button gives me a 403 error from the server. Switching back to the block editor taken me back to the same behaviour as described in my original post.
Unfortunately, we are having trouble getting the host to update PHP. They say that it isn’t possible at the moment and that they provide protection using https://www.cloudlinux.com/hardenedphp-wp. I know that this isn’t your issue, I’m just letting you know why an earlier version of PHP is running.

Php7.1 should be ok, please have a look at the following thread

Thanks, that helped. The issue doesn’t seem to be with the amount of memory allocated to PHP. It turns out that there is some real weirdness going on with links to documents. A link on the page was either causing the advanced layout editor to never finish saving or, if I did manage to get it saved without any of the Enfold formatting, the link was being replaced with http://www.batterypointhall.org.au/wp-admin/_wp_link_placeholder even though that definitely wasn’t the text that I had entered.
Anyway, your suggestion about links means that I think I’ve worked out how to get around the problem so at least I can get the site updating again.
Thanks for your help.
