Hello Guys,
reffering to your last answer (kriesi.at/support/topic/mega-menu-bug-3/#post-346562), here an update:
max_input_vars shows now 3000,
memory_limit 128M
Nevertheless I still can’t save any menu… Do you have an idea, what I could try next?
Kind regards
hermelina
Hi Hermelina,
Can you reproduce the issue with the default WordPress theme activated? also try installing this plugin to diagnose your real current menu limit.
Cheers!
Josue
Hi Josue,
thanx for your help! The plugin runs and shows no warnings. But by running a test with twentyeleven, I recognised following:
1) By creating the menu I had forgotten to activate the button „top primary menu“ in „theme locations“. The result: The menu appeared in the frontend, but with all of my sides although I had selected only 6 of 8. In addition in the backend the menu was empty; I mean the menu was created but without any item.
2) Next I activated the button „top primary menu“. As a result the menu disappeared in the frontend. In the backend the menu was still empty.
3) Finally I tried both with my enfold-child-theme with exactly same results.
Cheers!

Hi Hermelina,
From your description it seems the issue is not related to the theme, have you tried contacting your hosting support? also try disabling all third-party plugins and check if the issue gets fixed.
Best regards,
Josue
Hi Josue,
meanwhile I know it’s neither an issue related to the theme nor to my host. It’s something with wordpress. Last night I installed a complete fresh version (same host), just to test it. And voilà: Everything was running fine.
I’m really not very happy with the result, but at least the issue is solved…
Many thanx for your help! Without your support I would have never come along with it.
Kind regards
hermelina
