I can’t import Photography demo. I’ve tried it several times. Invariably the error message is a long list of errors including:
Failed to import pa_background-color Black
Failed to import pa_size Large
Failed to import pa_size Medium
Failed to import pa_background-color Red
Failed to import pa_size Small
etcThese are the things I’ve tried/verified:
1. ensured that i’ve done a full WP reset first so it’s a clean install with nothing else in there
2. tried it with and without preloading the woocommerce plugin (recommended), same errors either way
3. verified that other demos (e.g. Portfolio, Restaurant) work – and they do
4. tried installing it through the Enfold -> = doesnt work
5. tried installing it via Tools -> Import -> WordPress -> then pick the photography.xml file in demo_files = same erroralways the same long list of errors starting with:
Failed to import pa_background-color Black- This topic was modified 9 years, 6 months ago by fogbeauty.
May 1, 2015 at 11:05 am #437964Hi? This morning I’ve tried again from scratch on a completely fresh install of WordPress folders/files/database.
Same set of errors still.

Please make sure that wp-content/uploads folder has correct permissions ( 755 ) – http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions
Cheers!
YigitMay 1, 2015 at 1:36 pm #438040Yigit, it’s hosted locally on our server using WAMP … and all the other demo projects (restaurant, portfolio, shop etc) import OK
May 1, 2015 at 4:39 pm #438177Yigit as i say, this is on our own Windows server using WAMP. I have full admin access to all files and folders. What’s next to try?
May 4, 2015 at 2:49 pm #438912Hi!
Please refer to this link for a possible fix: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/import-demo-data/#post-436918
If it doesn’t work, try to manually import the demo xml files located on includes > admin > demo_files.
Best regards,
IsmaelMay 11, 2015 at 1:43 pm #442427I have got this working … for reference and for anyone struggling with the same issue:
1. As a last resort … I wondered if trying to host the thing on our local server (using WAMP) was the issue. I didn’t think so as some of other demos (restaurant, portfolio) worked fine locally. Nevertheless it seemed worth trying. So I created a quick disposable account online and installed WordPress and Enfold there.
2. Imported the Photography demo – it works!
3. Seeing as we wanted to work locally using WAMP, i exported the entire project out of our online host and pulled it down to our local server.
4. Works fine!May 11, 2015 at 1:48 pm #442434 -
