Yes, it should be working fine. Could you try to rename the WordPress plugin folder to see if that helps please?

RikardFebruary 15, 2017 at 3:34 pm #747498Hi Rikard,
Ok so I tried that but, nothing worked. I have NO plugins installed. I did some more testing and I think it has something to do with the name of the theme. I think I used the name Enfold with a capital E when I initially installed the theme. Now when I change the theme name via FTP to Enfold with a capitol E not ‘enfold’ I can get in the admin. But, then it breaks my site.. So I tried changing the name in the main CSS file to enfold but, that didn’t work either.. Do I need to change something else??
Thanks!
LaneFebruary 16, 2017 at 8:05 am #747823Hi Lane,
Ok, thanks for the feedback. Could you please try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

I have already tried that many times? Again this some issue I think with the name of the theme folder? = folder enfold and the front end works but, breaks the backend.. folder Enfold the backend works but, breaks the front end site…?? Is there an admin file that points to the Enfold name? Maybe I can change manually??This is a large website and I am trying to save the content not start over from scratch..
Thanks,
LaneFebruary 20, 2017 at 10:46 pm #749639I just realized this is not specific to this website. I tried uploading enfold to another website and the exact same problem occurs??? The e in caps on the folder is breaks my website if I make it a E then the site works and the admin is broken.. I get a error-
The http://www.reachmedia.us page isn’t working
http://www.reachmedia.us is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500What the heck is causing this problem – I have never had any issue before??
February 21, 2017 at 3:51 pm #750015I see in the main css file it has a capitol E —
/*
Theme Name: EnfoldIs it something with that?? Or is it in some kind of Config file causing a problem?
I have updated my theme before and never had issues.

February 21, 2017 at 4:30 pm #750027Hi!
enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/wp/notices.php file was broken. I overwrote it and it helped. Please review your website now
Cheers!
YigitFebruary 21, 2017 at 4:41 pm #750033Ok so thats GREAT!!! its working fine!! But, how is that file getting broken? I tried this from a new download from themeforest this morning. I had the same problem last week on another site and have been researching it since then. = How can I update Enfold without this happening. I have tried several downloads and uploads with this same error.

February 22, 2017 at 2:49 pm #750505Ok so I just removed the notices.php file and my other site works!! So is that file needed at all? If we do not plan on using the LayerSlider can we just remove that entire folder? Will that create any other problems?
February 22, 2017 at 3:00 pm #750510Hey!
Sure, please refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/deactivate-the-layerslider-plugin/
Cheers!
YigitFebruary 22, 2017 at 3:16 pm #750521Thanks so much Yigit.. Just one last question is the problem that file? Or is that file getting corrupted when I upload? Via FTP filezilla? Have you seen that specific file cause problems with other people?
February 22, 2017 at 3:20 pm #750523Hi!
File must be corrupted during upload. I have seen some users had similar issues in the past but with that file i am seeing for the first time. In any case, simply overwriting the file should help :)
Best regards,
YigitFebruary 22, 2017 at 3:34 pm #750526Ok Thanks for all your help!
