LayerSlider: old jQuery issue
I am no “WordPress Ninja” ( a term found on your enfold sample) Ha! All skill levels would have to include my level which is below beginner.
Anyway, I had the site running and it seemed like I was figuring things out until an update somewhere (wordpress?) made the site start giving me this error message. HELP! I have searched for an answer, updated the jQuery to the latest version 2.0.3 and prayed real hard! It
just isn’t happening. Is there help for me? Keep in mind, I’m a newbie at ground level. I’m willing to keep making the effort, but don’t know where to go next. Step by step please?January 16, 2014 at 6:39 am #210492Hey momomany!
Can you post the link to your website so we can take a look?
Cheers!
YigitJanuary 16, 2014 at 6:23 pm #210777Sure. Thanks

January 16, 2014 at 6:28 pm #210782Hi!
You are using Enfold version 1.7 which is very old considering the latest version is 2.4.5. Please update Enfold theme to version 2.4.5 and WordPress to 3.8. There have been many bug fixes and improvements done to the theme since version 1.7.
Please see http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
To update via FTP, you should login on ThemeForest with the account you have purchased Enfold and go to Downloads section to download it.Best regards,
YigitJanuary 16, 2014 at 6:41 pm #210793Once I have downloaded the files, which I have done, how do I get the theme to show up in wordpress? I’m missing something….

In WordPress dashboard, you can go to Appearance > Themes and you should see version number below theme name
Best regards,
YigitJanuary 16, 2014 at 6:49 pm #210807Yes. Still old. How do I get the new one to show up?
January 16, 2014 at 6:51 pm #210809Hey!
1- Have you downloaded the latest version from ThemeForest?
2- Have you tried updating via FTP? You can try WordPress uploader( Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload ) as well we prefer FTP method.Regards,
YigitJanuary 16, 2014 at 6:57 pm #210818I don’t know how to use FTP method but am doing the upload via WordPress. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Hopefully I won’t have to bother you again…at least for today!

The file will not upload through WordPress. I will have to come back to it in a few hours, but am not sure how to make it happen via FTP. Is there a step by step guide?January 16, 2014 at 11:43 pm #210934Hey!
For a quick guide on updating your theme take a look at this video on updating the Enfold theme via FTP: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/67209750

January 18, 2014 at 6:19 pm #211598Hey!
Your best route at this point would be to talk to your hosting provider to get assistance in updating the theme files. Either through FTP or just by helping fix your chmod permissions so that WordPress can full write over the previous enfold folder within WordPress.
