Hello, I have various installs, all with WP 4.1.2 and Enfold 3.1.3. On the most important of them, the Advanced Page Editor (drag and drop) stopped working upon update to Enfold 3.1.3 (it worked with an identical setup except for Enfold 3.0.8 instead of 3.1.3).
Common setup:
WP 4.1.2
Enfold 3.1.3
Enfold Child Theme is active themeI have tried all sorts of standard methods of figuring out the issue, including overwriting all Enfold 3.1.3 files with a fresh copy from FTP. That did not fix it. I deactivated plugins, and that DID fix it. The offending plugin (which leads to the broken Avia page editor) seems to be Advanced Custom Fields Pro (5.2.2). The error exists when it’s activated, and goes away when it’s deactivated, seemingly regardless of whether any other plugins are active or not.
Here’s the strange thing, though… I have another site with WP 4.1.2, Enfold 3.1.3, and ACF 5.2.2 and it does NOT show the error. So I’m kinda stumped.
April 21, 2015 at 9:21 pm #432385Since I have not yet been able to definitively figure out the issue I am posting some more info here, in the hopes that it helps someone else figure out another angle to try.
I’m bolding the plugins which are unique to a particular install. I should note that I tried installing Quick Page/Post Redirect and PHP Text Widget on the ‘working’ site (Website 2) and even with those plugins installed that site remained fine… so I don’t think those plugins are the issue.

April 22, 2015 at 1:25 am #432479Here’s a hunch… I’ve found the latest update for Google Analytics by Yoast (5.4.1) to cause 2 of my 7 Enfold sites to render strangely. Once I disable GA (as you claimed with ACF) – the issue goes away. Try deactivating that plugin. At first, I thought it was WP-Retina and Yoast SEO combo. But the issue appeared again. I’m hoping that disabling GA is the one. I found another person with this same issue too here: https://yoast.com/google-analytics-5-4-notes/
Make sure you clear server cache and logout to view the site.
Now pile the WP 4.1.2 upgrade on this… grrrr. Hope the info helps others.- This reply was modified 9 years, 8 months ago by welswebmaster.
April 22, 2015 at 3:41 am #432514Thanks @welswebmaster. Funnily enough, the site with Google Analytics by Yoast 5.4.1 installed is working perfectly. :) Thanks for the idea though!

We do not support third party plugins but we try and get as much compatibility as possible. I tried logging in to check the error but it’s not letting me in. Is the information correct?
If your sure it’s working fine on another installation then it’s probably a conflict between two plugins on the other install. It would be best to contact the plugin authors.
Cheers!

However the site that’s working works even with all the same plugins installed (plus more). I made sure of it.
So I am wondering if it’s something less obvious that you might be able to think of. I’m kind of grasping at straws, but since I saw many other people having trouble with Enfold 3.1.3 and a ‘stuck’ spinning circle when trying to load the Avia Layout Builder, it feels like there’s a chance that something on the Enfold end might need tweaking.
Thanks for any assistance you are able to provide.
– AdamApril 23, 2015 at 11:34 am #433376Hi!
Could you try to overwrite the theme files via FTP? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/. Please make sure all your customisations, if any, are in a child theme before doing this.
Cheers!
RikardApril 23, 2015 at 10:37 pm #433805Rikard,
I did this before posting unfortunately it does not fix the issue. Thanks though!April 27, 2015 at 7:52 am #435067I am having the same problems with Enfold… I am running all the latest update… when I create a new page I cannot use advance editor.. I have disabled all plugins which makes no difference… I have reloaded Enfold folder using FTP and still does not work… Very frustrating because I cannot build my pages so at the moment I am stuck and need some help to resolve this issue.
CheersApril 28, 2015 at 7:50 am #435828Hi!
@muzioman: Please create a new thread then post the website url there. Make sure that you have the latest version of the theme, 3.1.3 running on WordPress 4.1.2 or later.Regards,
IsmaelApril 28, 2015 at 8:09 am #435842I have figured out the the Avia Layout builder works fine on my site if I either deactivate ACF Pro, or move all my ACF “Field Groups” to the trash.
Given this fact, I’m going to try to contact the author of ACF to see if the issue is on their end.
Thank you for all who helped me narrow down the issue.
