    Hi,
    I’ve just updated Enfold to 4.5.1 and WP to 5.0 and now I can’t add new content to posts or pages or portfolio items.
    The editor is set to Text version and can’t switch to Visual version.
    Plus, the Advanced Layout Editor button doesn’t work.

    Do you have the classic editor plugin enabled by any chance? If yes, please disable/remove it. This solved the issue for me and made the Enfold editor working side by side with Gutenberg, so you can choose which one you would like to use.

    Hi, I have a similar problem, Classic Editor Plugin is installed and updated to WP 5.0 today.
    If I want to create new pages or articles with the Classic Editor (visual), I cant use WYSIWYG nor switch to the Avia-Layouteditor.
    Disabling Classic Editor is not an option because this would force me to use Gutenberg :(
    Just checked an other WordPress not using Enfold – this is working properly.

    Hm, I am not sure if I understand what you mean.
    If you disable classic editor (the plugin) you can choose between Gutenberg and the Enfold layout editor.

    Or do you mean something else?

    Hi Micheal, the Classic Editor Plugin gives the possibility to use Classic Editor instead of Gutenberg.
    To be honest – I don’t Like Gutenberg and it is still buggy … I want to have the choice betwen ALE and Classic Editor. This was possible in WP 4.9 and does not work in WP 5.0 with Enfold.

    Ok, I fixed it deactivating the Classic Editor plugin.
