Hello:
All of a sudden I have developed this weird problem, created a new site, I can upload the logo and favicon (both .png’s). I am now trying to upload a picture and get the following error: intro.png
Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.I have changed the file type to .jpg and .bmp and no joy.
If I try to upload this file in the same section as the logo and favicon I get the same error.
What the heck is broken?
Enfold is the latest release as I just updated thinking that would cure the issue, was running 3.2.1

November 10, 2015 at 3:45 pm #533357Hello:
Well, I kinda solved it but this does not make any sense at all. The image I was trying to upload was created using grab on the mac. Never had this issue. I went and created the image using preview and their screen capture option and that does let me upload the file. Why I have no clue.
If you want to investigate this further, let me know and I would be more than happy to send you copies of both files created by each program.

Glad you got it fixed, not sure what could have gone wrong there but I’m guessing the file was corrupt in some way. Please let us know if you should need any more help on the topic.
Best regards,

No, file was not corrupt as it displays fine on the MAC. Just cannot upload any file created with Grab, no matter what you name it.
November 11, 2015 at 4:01 pm #534132Hi!
Please try adding following code to wp-config.php file
define('ALLOW_UNFILTERED_UPLOADS', true);Best regards,

Ok, that eliminated the error. It seems that using grab does something with the images that they do not display in the image gallery. I’m going to play around with it to see what the deal is.
Thank you very much for your help, something to add to the bag of tricks.
Regards
Mike
