    Hi,

    I have a dedicated server and have a WP site with Enfold for several years and have no issues with it.

    I am now making a new site so purchased another license, downloaded the latest files and created a new WP installation but I cannot install it.

    In the dashboard if I try to install I get the error: “The link you followed has expired.”

    I have searched for how to fix this and have been directed to the php.ini and .ht access to make changes to the limits. I have tried all of this but no sucess.

    Then I tried the Cpanel file manager to upload the Zip of Enfold to the Themes directory. Extracted it. Can see it in the Appearance menu. When I select activate I get an error message: “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

    I have tried for hours and just can’t get this to install.

    Hi Saka,

    Thanks for giving us both admin and cpanel access.
    I was able to upload the theme and fix the “The link you followed has expired” by modifying the post_max_size and upload_max_filesize in the Home Directory to 32M
    And the critical error was fixed after memory_limit is set to 128M
    Please review your website :)

    Hi Nikko,

    Thank you for being so helpful and the quick response!

    I see the installation is now working :-)

    Can you please let me know which files you made the adjustments too so that I know what to do in the future if I face this issue?

    Also, when I try to import a theme demo I get the below error message:

    “Download of files for demo Agency – Enfold Parallax Demo didn’t work!
    You might want to try reloading the page and then try again.”

    Hi,

    Still not able to install any demo files.

    Can you please advise.

    Looked at the support pages and found the Github page but also can’t download Paralax from there.

    So a bit stuck

    Thank you for your patience, I check your site and it looks like you have beed able to install the Parallax Demo are are currently editing it, so shall we close this then?

    Hi Mike,

    I found the site where you keep the demos so was able to download it there and install via Cpanel in the end as it wouldn’t install via WordPress

    Just for future reference for my next install would you be able to let me know what files Nikko amended the post and memory limits in to avoid bothering you again.
