Hi there,
I am not able anymore to insert a hyperlink through the editor. I am using WordPress 4.0 and latest theme, version 2.9.2.
The icon in the editor for inserting links is greyish (‘dead’).I tried everything (disabling plugins etc.), but nothing helps.
It is so strange, since all other functions seem to work fine, including the advanced editor. It applies to both old as new messages/pages.
Thanks for helping me out on this.
Kind regards

Is there any response available to my question? The problem is that I cannot continue to work with my website.
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards,
ThijsOctober 2, 2014 at 7:07 am #328685Hi,
Does the issue persists with the default WordPress theme activated?
Cheers!
JosueOctober 2, 2014 at 7:22 pm #329158Yes, I tried 3 differrent themes. Including TwentyFourteen, the latest default WP theme.
The visual editor can change everyting, except insert/remove hyperlink….
October 2, 2014 at 7:22 pm #329159BTW: Upgrading to Enfold 3.0 has not helped either….
October 2, 2014 at 8:05 pm #329193Hi!
Please try re-installing WordPress and check if that helps. If issue occurs on default themes as well that means it is not Enfold related.
Cheers!
YigitOctober 2, 2014 at 9:11 pm #329243Hi Yigit!
I did reinstall WP 4.0 as well.. did not work.
But I found out that with Firefox all works fine. So it’s Chrome that’s causing the issue.
Still hoping to resolve it, but I am happy to have a workaround… at least I can edit all I need…

October 2, 2014 at 9:22 pm #329256Hi!
Please make sure that you are using the latest version of Chrome and try de-activating all extensions/plugins and check if that helps. Unfortunately there is not much we can do to help you with issues that are not theme related
Best regards,
YigitOctober 2, 2014 at 9:31 pm #329268Hi Yigit,
Thanks very much for staying with me on this…. I understand very well it’s not your cup of tea…
I found out that the setting Activate Protection Against Phishing And Malware is causing the issue!
After unchecking it, all works fine!!! :-)
Mmmm, not very safe situation, right?
October 2, 2014 at 9:36 pm #329272Wow! I restored the serttings in Chrome, and now it still works!!!
