    Hi,

    I am using Enfold for my icojudge.co website. On my blog, I have several posts and I saved one of them as a template for later editing and use. However, whenever I start a new post (Add New) and I try to use an existing template (blog_coin), the template cannot be edited.

    The template contains a Text Block element with some text, however, when I click on the element to edit it, I get the “Click here to add your own text” message in the newly opened window, instead of getting the text inside the element.

    Please help me edit my blog post templates in new posts.

    Hey Mihai,

    Are you talking about posts or pages? Can you point us to the page/post with the issue? I looked at your posts and could not figure it out, they seem to be built with the default editor not the Advanced Layout Builder.

    Hi,

    As I mentioned, I am talking about Posts.

    To reproduce this behavior, please check out the “TEST POST” post I just created. If you go inside that post and use the Layout Builder, I have already loaded a previously saved template (called “blog_coin”).

    If you click on that Text block, then the newly opened window does not display the text that should be displayed from within the template, but only shows “Click here to add your own text”.

    I need to edit the text in the template in my new blog posts and I am unable to do so, due to the issue described above.

    Hi,

    I’m not sure why the text block version is not working so we moved it inside a code block and it worked. Please do not insert brackets inside the shortcodes. If you really need these characters, use the html entity code.

    Hi,

    Thanks, but the code block is very hard to edit and format. I want to be able to edit the template as text, which I think is a reasonable way of writing blog posts. Can you fix this in any way?

    Hi,

    What if you edit the content in a text block then transfer it in a code block afterwards? I can’t find any errors when editing the content so it may take us a while to figure out what’s causing the issue.

    I have updated Enfold today and my site crashed and I cannot even go to the wp-admin page. The site is icojudge.co

    Which version of php are you running? Looks like the /wp-enfold/enfold/config-bbpress/ folder is missing. Please the theme zip that you’re uploading.

    I am running version 7.1. Everything worked fine until I updated Enfold yesterday.
