Hi
I was trying to add a mailchimp sign up form to my site. When it asks for the API key, I head over to mailchimp (following the link on wordpress) and create an API key and input it but get the message
“Could not connect to Mailchimp with this API Key. Please try again with a different key
You might also want to check your internet connection and make sure that mailchimp.com is available”Connections are fine, mailchimp is available. Did a forum search and have tried the solutions there (deactivating all plugins, checking plugins, theme, wordpress up to date, tried new API keys)… nothing.
Could you help me, please?
I’ve added a login to my site below

February 26, 2019 at 12:40 pm #1071732Hi!
@vjward I checked your website and you are currently using an older version of Enfold. Could you please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/updating-to-enfold-4-5-and-validating-personal-token/ and update Enfold to the latest version 4.5.4?
@richardhofer83 Please make sure you are using the latest version of the theme. If you are, please start a new thread under Enfold sub forum and attach login credentials so we can look into it :)Cheers!
YigitFebruary 26, 2019 at 9:00 pm #1071982Ok, will do… will report back.
(wordpress told me the theme was up to date… but will manually check)
thanks!
February 26, 2019 at 9:11 pm #1071985Unfortunately this hasn’t helped.
The theme is now updated though!
Any other ideas?
Thanks in advance x
February 27, 2019 at 9:14 am #1072202I think it has to do something with mailchimp. mailchimp is blocking IPs that are not dedicated. my website has a shared IP, so i think that causes the problem… but it is a new issue, because until very recently it worked all fine… (maybe since a new update?)
is there anything you can do?

March 5, 2019 at 5:20 am #1074646Hi,
Thanks for the update.
We get the same error when we try to validate the API key. It’s the same when we test it on our installation. Have you tried to regenerate a new API key? Please post your mailchimp account credentials in the private field.
Best regards,

March 11, 2019 at 5:01 am #1077214Hi,
Thanks for the update.
We were able to connect and verify the API key. We also created a test page with the subscription form and it seems to be working properly. (see private field)
