Hi. I have read all the threads on this issue but cannot find a resolution. I have the latest version of wordpress installed and a new version of the enfold theme. I just purchased it and installed it today. I am trying to import the demo files for online demo. I am receiving the following error.

Sorry, there has been an error. This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number

I tried calling the hosting company and they are unable to help as this was suggested in one thread. I checked on Internet Explorer and I get the same error, as this was suggested by a thread as well. I have created a login for a moderator if that is needed.

    Thank you,
    Jo Lynn Deal

This inquiry took so long for a response that I have had to move ahead to try without the demo files. It seems this is a recurring issue for people and it would benefit from a thread that walks customers through how to correct the issue. The theme is very nicely designed.

    Hey!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

This is actually a server related issue, it doesn’t happen on most enfold installation, but we’re still not sure what’s causing it. You can try to manually import the demo files. https://kriesi.at/support/topic/demo-content-error-2/#post-415879

    Cheers!
