Hello.
I recently purchased the Enfold theme on the recommendation of a friend. However, the theme did not work the way I expected and there were several problems that prevented me from using it. For your reference, I’ll outline the issues I experienced:
1. The theme slowed my WordPress admin panel significantly. It would take several minutes to load a page.
2. It made WordPress so unresponsive on occasion that I’d have to close down my browser.
3. I wanted to use the horizontal gallery but no matter what I did in the page editor, the gallery on the published page was always squashed to the left and looked very unappealing.
4. Sometimes, I could not remove an element in the page editor. For instance, I inserted another type of gallery in the editor so I could compare how it looked when published to the horizontal gallery. I didn’t like the result so I tried to remove it. I clicked delete element many times without success. Even if I went out of the page editor and loaded it again (or exited WordPress and came back later), I couldn’t remove the element.Another issue, though not a bug as such, was that I tried importing some demos later on to work with them, thinking that I could just find elements, pages, posts and menu items and personalize them but I found it extremely difficult. For many of the items, texts and images in the demo, I couldn’t find anyway of changing them at all. This isn’t strictly relevant but I thought I’d share my experience as a new customer. For your reference, I’m reasonably familiar with the interface of WordPress so I’m not a complete novice. But I am by no means an advanced user.
At the moment however, I’m not using the Enfold theme on my website and am just using a free placeholder theme.
However, I talked to the friend who recommended Enfold to me as he’s produced a really nice website with it and I asked him what version he was using. He told me he was using version 3.2.
I understand that an older version of the theme won’t have all the features of the newest version but if it’s a stable release, then I’d be very interested in trying it. And if it’s capable of producing the results my friend has with his website, that’s more than good enough for me.
So my question, which I know has become a little long-winded now, is this: Can we download older versions of the Enfold theme and if so, how can we do it? (And if not, could this option be made available to customers?)
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best regards,
– Hamish

We can help you out with your problems, but we need for the theme to be active. Not sure which way you want to go?

I’ve reactivated the theme and it seems to be working as intended now. So I’m not experiencing the type of lag and crashes that I was earlier and I’ve even managed to get the horizontal sliding gallery working the way I want it to. So I should be all right now.
However, thank you for the offer to assist with the problem. I appreciate it.
Best regards,
Hamish
