    Hi,

    I did a theme update yesterday and the code I put inside the helper-main-menu.php “display the main navigation menu” section was gone. I was wondering how can I customize that file in the child theme so it will not be removed by the theme update. Should I put it under child-theme/includes/? Will that work?

    Exactly, you should place the file inside includes folder on your child theme
