Hi,
I use ENFOLD 4.5.7 and WP 5.2.1 and PHP 7.2.
It is a multisite with subdirectories, my test site is in a subdirectory!I created a widget area only for ENFOLD’s Instagram widget and added this area to a page with ALB element “custom widget area”.
For GDPR reasons I chose in the Instagram widget to cache the images.
At the page I see now no images; only when you hover over the place where the images are supposed to be, you see the Instagram description, the links are correctly leading to Instagram, but the images are not shown at all.
When I checked this with Firefox developer tools, then the “graphic could not be loaded”.
At FTP I checked, if there is a folder “avia_instagram_cache” with 755 CHMOD:
since it is a multisite, the path for this site is:
/wp-content/uploads/sites/9/avia_instagram_cache/
and there are in fact images in it!The Instagram images are correctly linked, you see the text if you hover over the white area:
But the images itself are not loaded.
I’m not a coder, so I can only guess:the images on FTP are called like this for example:
large_50606731_182903962689991_8243133896054883791_n.jpg?_nc_ht=scontent-frt3-1.cdninstagram.com
– Is it the characters after “.jpg” that prevent the images from loading?
– Or has it something to that I use a multisite, where other upload paths are used than in a single installation?I do not use any cache plugin.
Thanks.
June 1, 2019 at 7:58 pm #1106169Hey Gitte,
Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for the login. When I check your page the images in the top section are giving the 404 error, and do not show on hover or on click.
In your ftp it does seem to have the correct image names, but when I test on my localhost the files are cached without the “?_nc_ht=scontent-frt3-1.cdninstagram.com” on the end of the file name and your instagram images work correctly.
But removing the ?_nc_ht=scontent-frt3-1.cdninstagram.com on your site doesn’t allow direct access.I believe this was some kind of error, so I added a new instagram widget with caching and it works well, Please clear your browser cache and check. It is called “New Cached Instagram” at the bottom of the page. Perhaps try deleting your widget and rebuilding it.
Best regards,

now I cannot see the images of the cached Instagram images any more,
that you have made.- This reply was modified 5 years, 5 months ago by BeeCee.
June 2, 2019 at 12:15 am #1106201okay, I think I was a bit confused, it’s late here :-(
Anyway, currently it seems to work with the cached Instagram images – even in the footer widget.Thank you, Mike, for the help.
In the end, may I ask what I had done wrong – for a better understanding, if that happened to me again?
I thought I had cleared my cache – and yet the pictures were not visible.June 2, 2019 at 12:39 am #1106208Hi,
Glad to hear you got it sorted out :)
I’m not sure what happened to you, but I guess it was the cache, sometimes I have to clear it a few times, there is the browser, site, and server cache, and it can be a pain to clear them all.
Unless there is anything else we can assist with on this issue, shall we close this then?Best regards,
