Hey there .. this is more of a ‘head’s-up’ ticket since I managed to get the site back to working properly but it might serve as a warning or how-to solve thread if ppl encounter the same issues.
1 – Working on site hosted by SiteGround.
Yesterday I was adding some social media links to the top bar and when I saved the theme options and returned to the site I noticed that all dynamic stuff (background-images, background videos, sticky menu, shrinking menu, css animations (testimonials, timeline, fade in animations, mobile menu) had stopped working all-together.
Tried everything I knew -purge cache, purge browser cache, disabling merging of css files, deactivate & reactivate plugins, etc- wouldn’t solve the issue.
Finally, after some tense moments, I realized that if I just deactivated the cache plugin, SG Optimizer (Sitegrounds’ own cache system plugin), the site started working again properly.
Not sure if this is a bug w/ the theme or with the Siteground plugin but either way, it’s something you guys should be aware of cause it happened just like that, out of the blue.
Right now, site has no cache plugin and I’m not sure if I want to try another one cause I don’t want to spend another half hr fixing issues again.. and since Siteground is a renowned hosting platform for WP, it’s something you should be aware of.2- Your SUPPORT site is a mess!
Set up a new account after waiting for 5mins for page to load, received the confirmation email w/ password link and when I clicked on said link, I was faced w/ a ‘database error’ screen. After a bunch of browser refreshing, page finally loaded. Was sent to login page and was faced w/ same ‘database error’ page .. more refreshing and more refreshing of browser and I finally was able to land here and open up this ticket. Going to copy all this text cause I have a feeling when I click on submit, the same database error page will be seen.Needless to say, this experience has been absolutely brutal.

1. Thanks for sharing your experience. If the theme works fine without the caching plugin, then the problem is likely with the plugin itself, or a setting in it.
2. We haven’t had any other users report this to us, and we haven’t seen any problems ourselves. It might have been a temporary glitch.
Best regards,
Rikard -
