Hi,
since the recent update to WP 5.6 or with the latest update of the theme – I can’t tell – a problem with the burger menu came up. It is completely empty when used as an alternative for mobiles.
It works as designed when the main menu is set to show as symbol.
No change when altering the menu, using mega menu on/off, switching menu etc.
Nothing in PHP error log.
Thanks for help!
December 10, 2020 at 7:39 pm #1266360I’m also having the same issue, please advise.

VictoriaDecember 11, 2020 at 1:32 am #1266437Hi,
I think I found the error.
In your theme try changing Main Menu + Alternate Menu for Mobile to ‘Do not use an alternative menu for mobile’
Of course, the error needs to be corrected, but this solution will work for most people.

The burger menu will be of the same content as the main menu, of course.

December 11, 2020 at 2:00 pm #1266532Hi,
Sorry for the inconvenience!
We are working on the issue and will release a patch soon. In the meantime, please install this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/ and in plugin settings set jQuery Version to “Legacy 1.12.4-wp”.Regards,
YigitDecember 11, 2020 at 3:25 pm #1266558Thanks!
Please keep us in the loop as to when we can remove this extra plugin.

January 7, 2021 at 4:58 pm #1270903Hi,
After installing jQuery-migrate the hamburger menu is not showing in the website I’m building. Even changing the parameters in the “main menu” option of the theme settings doesn’t work. For example, when set to icon (hamburger) menu on desktop, still text stays visible; also the search icon will not disappear, when set to “turned-off”.
I have another website where it works fine with WP 5.6 and Enfold 4.7.6.4 and without jQuery-migrate.Regards,

RikardJanuary 9, 2021 at 9:39 am #1271198I’m experiencing this as well. The following JQuery event was logged.
Weirdly i’m only seeing this error on subsites not the main site in my multisite.jQuery.fn.click() event shorthand is deprecated Theme: Enfold https://www.na.org.au/multi/greaterqld/wp-content/themes/enfold/js/avia.js https://www.na.org.au/multi/greaterqld/?customize_changeset_uuid=a050389e-9473-449c-ae02-eb73a042396d&customize_theme=enfold&customize_messenger_channel=preview-0
January 10, 2021 at 11:20 am #1271326Hi webservantnaoz,
I can’t see the jQuery migrate helper plugin installed on your site, could you try to install it to see if that helps with the problem?
Best regards,
RikardJanuary 10, 2021 at 1:27 pm #1271350This reply has been marked as private.January 10, 2021 at 3:40 pm #1271366I had the same issue after 5.6 update but the fix was installing this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/, and changing the jQuery version in the plugin to 1.12.4. If you install the plugin and do not change the setting it to 1.12.4 then nothing will happen so don’t forget that bit!
January 10, 2021 at 4:16 pm #1271375I changed the jQuery version to 1.12.4 but it didn’t work.
