Hi Support,
We have the problem that the burger menu (mobile) either has no function at all or has no function after 2 or three clicks. Do you have an idea ahead of this?
Best regards,

September 13, 2024 at 3:40 am #1466860Hey ThiloKiefer,
Thank you for the inquiry.
The mobile menu seems to be functioning correctly on our end. However, we noticed that the menu items under “Digitale Kommunikation” either contain only “#” or have no links. Could you provide more details on how we can reproduce the issue?
Best regards,
IsmaelSeptember 17, 2024 at 10:11 am #1467180Hi Ismael,
Thank you very much!
we have now adjusted the menu. This is how it should look in the future and now there are no more “#” in the links. Our problem now is that if you want to click on the menu items, the navigation is usually no longer clickable after 3 times to change a page. The navigation only remains clickable if we have deactivated the “delay JavaScript execution” in WP Rocket. This should remain activated for the PageSpeed so that it remains good. Do you have any idea how we can solve our problem?Best regards,

We can’t reproduce this issue on our end. Would you mind providing a short clip of the problem?

IsmaelSeptember 18, 2024 at 9:20 am #1467285Hi Ismael,
We´ve made a video for you. We hope it will help to reproduce.

IsmaelSeptember 19, 2024 at 6:12 am #1467412Hi,
Thank you for the short clip.
We still can’t reproduce the issue on our end. Please provide the login details in the private field so we can check the menu items in the dashboard.

IsmaelSeptember 19, 2024 at 2:25 pm #1467456Hi,
can you give us your e-mail adress so that we can make you an user for that e-mail?Best regards,
Thilo kieferSeptember 20, 2024 at 4:34 am #1467495Hi,
Please use the email in the private field and make sure to immediately generate the password, as we don’t have direct access to this email.
The navigation only remains clickable if we have deactivated the “delay JavaScript execution” in WP Rocket.
Also, try contacting the plugin developer for more info about this option. In the meantime, you can temporarily disable this option to prevent the issue from occurring.

IsmaelSeptember 24, 2024 at 9:19 am #1467717Hi,
This is your User. But please note if you change anything because we write down the changes in the plugins etc.
Thank you for Looking!Best regards,
Thilo KieferSeptember 24, 2024 at 5:20 pm #1467750Hi,
Thank you for the link to your site, I tried to review your video but it is no longer available, I checked your site and the mobile menu seems to work correctly, by clicking a menu item with two submenus, and direct menu items. But since you write that the WP Rocket options seem to cause the issue, I believe that you need to add exceptions to the plugin, it has a field for this script blocking conflict.
Please see this WP Rocket documentation
And possibly the Wp Rocket REMOVE UNUSED CSS option, with this list of classes
If this doesn’t help, I see that there is an unsolved WP Rocket issue with Delay JS for mobile devices on IOS, if this is your issue you may need to disable this issue until WP Rocket corrects.Best regards,
MikeSeptember 27, 2024 at 10:46 am #1467924Hi Support,
We still have the problem that our menu no longer works as soon as the “Delay JavaScript execution” is turned on. Now there is the possibility to exclude .js files with this tool. What would we have to enter in this field so that our navigation is not delayed?
The field outlined in yellow in the screenshot:

Thilo KieferSeptember 27, 2024 at 12:13 pm #1467935Hi,
I’m not able to login to your site, I get an error that the user name is not valid.
Did you try the exceptions from the WP Rocket documentation? Then clear your site and browser cache.Best regards,
MikeSeptember 27, 2024 at 2:12 pm #1467954Hi Mike,
Yes, we tried the information in this post. However, there isn’t any information on how we can exclude the menu. We tried something like: /mes-htdocs/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/menu/menu.js?ver=6.0.2.
Can you tell us which .js files are responsible for the burger menu?Best regards,
Thilo kieferSeptember 27, 2024 at 3:12 pm #1467963Hi,
/jquery-?[0-9.](.*)(.min|.slim|.slim.min)?.js /jquery-migrate(.min)?.js /dynamic_avia/avia-footer-scripts-(.*).js var avia_is_mobile /enfold/js/avia.js /enfold/js/shortcodes.js /enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/ /enfold/js/avia-compat.js
If you are also using the Wp Rocket REMOVE UNUSED CSS option you will also need to add this list to it:
.main_menu .menu-item-avia-special .av-hamburger .av-hamburger-box .av-hamburger-inner .av-burger-overlay .av-burger-overlay-scroll .av-burger-overlay-inner .av-active-burger-items .av-burger-overlay-active .av-burger-overlay-active-delayed .av-hamburger--spin .av-js-hamburger .avia_hidden_link_text .av-burger-menu-main #av-burger-menu-ul #avia-menu .av-width-submenu .av-active-burger-items .current_page_item .current-menu-item .av-active-burger-items .avia-menu .av-main-nav-wrap
I’m not able to login to your site, I get an error that the user name is not valid, I also can not reproduce the error on your site.
Best regards,
MikeSeptember 27, 2024 at 3:42 pm #1467967Hi,
I put the user and the video in the box below.
Thanks for the information. We have entered it in the field below in WP Rocket. Unfortunately, by switching on the script, the navigation as in the video is no longer functional. For this reason, we have deactivated the field “Delay JavaScript execution” again.
Do you have an idea ahead it could be?Best regards,
Thilo KieferSeptember 27, 2024 at 5:44 pm #1467973Hi,
In your video the “Unternehmen” was the only item that would not open, when I check with the “delay JavaScript execution” disabled the “Unternehmen” still will not open.
When I check the backend you have a empty column under this item, once removed it will then open on mobile with “delay JavaScript execution” enabled or disabled.
I left this setting for you to check.
I assume that you want the desktop mega menu for “Unternehmen” to show for desktop, so for this I would recommend creating a second menu to show on mobile menu only.
See this thread.Best regards,
MikeOctober 8, 2024 at 10:24 am #1468638Hi Mike,
sorry for the late reply. I see that with the company that this is not possible… Thank you.The problem that the menu no longer works after 4 or 5 clicks as soon as the delay JavaScript execution is on unfortunately remains…
We would like to leave it on, as this will significantly increase the page speed. However, our navigation should also work, because a non-functioning navigation (only related to mobile) unfortunately does not get us any further ;(
Problem: After about 5-8 times changing the mobile page mobile on the mobile phone (Safari) the navigation no longer works. (Delay JavaScript on)
Now, the navigation works because the “Delay Java Script” is off.We checked the .js scrips but nothing helped… we hope you can help us.
Best regards,
Thilo KieferOctober 12, 2024 at 3:32 pm #1468982Hi,
I tried enabling “Delay Java Script” and changed your mobile menu to “Display submenu items on click” and tested in Safari with Responsive Design Mode to emulate a iPhone and in Chrome as a mobile device on a Mac but found no issues after more than six clicks.
I see that your “Excluded JavaScript Files” has one file “menu.js” so perhaps you have not cleared your iPhone cache. Please note that testing with iPhones can be hard to clear the cache, often you need to also clear the history to fully purge the cache, following these steps for Safari and note Step 4 where you will Clear the History.
But note that the recommended “Excluded JavaScript Files” are more than your one file./jquery-?[0-9.](.*)(.min|.slim|.slim.min)?.js /jquery-migrate(.min)?.js /dynamic_avia/avia-footer-scripts-(.*).js var avia_is_mobile /enfold/js/avia.js /enfold/js/shortcodes.js /enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/ /enfold/js/avia-compat.js
Also note that the plugin offers a “One-click exclusions” option for the theme:
but I’m not able to reproduce the error on your site now, so I assume that it is a cache issue on your device, please check.Best regards,
MikeOctober 15, 2024 at 10:25 am #1469137Hi Mike,
I tried it with your tips. We have always deleted the cache before… that’s really strange… for the three of us in the office it doesn’t work on the iPhone (Iphone 15pro, Iphone 11 pro, Iphone 14). Tomorrow I’ll take my MacBook with me and test whether it works there.
I tried your recommendation of which files should be excluded, unfortunately without success.
Best regards
Thilo KieferOctober 16, 2024 at 10:51 am #1469217Hi Mike,
Update:
we tested it on my MacBook and it works there in the Safari browser. on the mobile phone it does not work in both the Safari browser and the Crome browser. I’ll send you another video. In the video you can see at the beginning how it doesn’t work. and further you can see how it happens in a new tab that it no longer works.
We have deleted the history and excluded all .js. (you can see on the screenshot)Best regards,
Thilo KieferOctober 16, 2024 at 5:48 pm #1469257Hi,
Thanks, I tested in Safari with Responsive Design Mode to emulate a iPhone and in Chrome as a mobile device on a Mac but didn’t see this issue, I don’t have an iPhone so I have asked the rest of the team you check with an iPhone, Thanks for your patience.Best regards,
MikeOctober 17, 2024 at 10:09 am #1469301Hi Mike,
Thank you. That would be nice if you could check it out as a team.
Of course, we have currently deactivated the “Delay Java Script” hack, so that it works for our customers and also for us on the iPhone. When you test it, you need to enable it, but please disable it again after testing.
We hope we can solve the problem soon.Best regards,

November 18, 2024 at 8:49 am #1471532Hi,
Sorry for the delay. We are still not sure what is causing this issue. Have you tried using a different plugin for the “delay JavaScript execution” feature, such as Autoptimize? You can also compress the scripts and stylesheets with this plugin.
Best regards,
IsmaelNovember 18, 2024 at 8:52 am #1471533Hi,
UPDATE: Looks like the Autoptimize plugin doesn’t have the “delay JavaScript execution” option, but you can try disabling the compression options of the cache plugin and use the Autoptimize settings instead. Let us know of the result.

IsmaelNovember 22, 2024 at 10:32 am #1471910Hi,
We want to stick with the Rocket plugin because it has proven to be the best of the available. It’s weird that everything runs great as soon as the “delay java script” is turned off. Don’t you know which JavaScript could be the error for the Navigaiton? it seems to be related to the menu or the navigation.Thank you in advance!
Best regards,
Thilo Kiefer -
