I’m using a feature image slider displaying the three latest posts as a kind of introduction on a site. When I assign a post to be “sticky” the feature image slider element doesn’t take note of that.

Example I – order of entries displayed in the slider (1 is the most recent post, 4 is the oldest post)
    1: Regular Post
    2: Regular Post
    3: Regular Post
    4: Post, “sticky” assigned

This is the current behavior. Post 4 isn’t visible in the feature image slider, as it doesn’t move up even though “sticky” has been assigned to the post.

Example II – order of entries displayed in the slider (1 is the most recent post, 4 is the oldest post)
    4: Post, “sticky” assigned
    1: Regular Post
    2: Regular Post
    3: Regular Post

This is the requested behaviour. Post 4 moves up to position 1 due to being assigned “sticky”. Due to Post 3 moving down to position 4 it’s not visible anymore.

Unfortunately I can’t provide backend access due to security measurements.

This thread describes the same issue. The difference in the solution that I’m looking for is that I want to keep three slides available and not reduce it to just one element. Is that possible?

    Hey stefko,

Unfortunately, it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However, if it’s really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you :)

    Best regards,
    Victoria
