I recently upgraded wordpress and am running the latest version of Enfold. There seems to be an unpredictable and difficult to replicate bug:
1) When I press “update” after editing EXISTING content and refresh the page on the front-end, nothing is changed
2) The only way to get it to change is to add some NEW content (e.g. a text block) or to change the parent page and then switch it back
3) Sometimes 2) doesn’t work and it seems to randomly accept the new content after I change a special headingThis wasn’t happening before the upgrade to WordPress 4.0 and I haven’t installed/changed anything else. This is quite a frustrating bug as I spend 5+ minutes messing around to save page content when it happens.
September 23, 2014 at 3:00 pm #323704Hey scottybowl!
Can you post the link to your website please?
Please also try to increase the allocated memory to 128M: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
You can contact your service provider and they can do it for you.Regards,

Thanks for the reply – I’m currently developing locally so unfortunately can’t share the site. I’ll try increasing the memory for the site and see if that fixes it :)

YigitSeptember 24, 2014 at 4:08 pm #324373I’m still facing the same problem, the memory increase didn’t seem to fix it unfortunately.
September 24, 2014 at 4:10 pm #324375Just a note on this, changing other elements on the page (e.g. hiding/showing breadcrumbs) works when pressing update, it’s just the content area that doesn’t seem to be triggering
September 25, 2014 at 7:36 am #324822Hey!
Does the issue happen only when you use the Advanced Layout Builder?
Regards,
JosueOctober 1, 2014 at 12:02 pm #327979I am having the exact same issue, content does not always update correctly when saving drafts.
I’ve also found quirks when the page fails to update correctly, the formatting breaks… colour sections run into one another, and if “<br/>” is used in titles they get duplicated.
To confirm I’m also using the page builder

October 2, 2014 at 5:39 pm #329119Hello,
Have you tried disabling all third-party plugins to see if it gets fixed?

JosueOctober 3, 2014 at 4:03 pm #329756Yea this was the first thing we checked, no change in results

October 11, 2014 at 10:28 am #334250Hi!
Thank you for the info.
The preview is working fine on our installation even if you set the page to draft. Is this only happening on that particular page?
Cheers!
IsmaelOctober 14, 2014 at 2:46 pm #335580It happens intermittently on every page where save as draft is used, once the error occurs it causes errors in the formatting that randomly resolve themselves once a number of textual changes are implemented and saved.
October 14, 2014 at 10:10 pm #335777Hi!
Just tried to reproduce the issue but I am not quite sure if I am doing it right since everything works fine for me.
So would you give me a step by step description on how to reproduce the error on the draft called Landing Page?
If you want to, a short http://screenr.com/ video will do it as well, probably is faster than writing everything down. Also would you mind letting me know which browser and operating system you are using?
Cheers!
KriesiOctober 17, 2014 at 3:59 pm #337404Hi Kriesi,
Thanks for getting back to me… I’ve had a go at the page and so far the issue seems to have resolved itself… It was an intermittent problem before so difficult to replicate. I’ve tried numerous changes and it seems to be working ok but I cant guarantee its solved.
Sorry I appreciate that’s not very helpful… if it starts reoccurring, ill get a screenr sorted
Thanks for all your help
