Hi we have a bug with Safari on a website. The Video doesn’t work. We have the version 11.0.3.

    Can you help me?

    Hey Innovie,

That is actually an intended behavior.
Please add an imahge as a fallback

    Hi Basilis,

can you explain, why a new imac with safari version 11. should display an image instead of the video??
    Safari version 9 & 10 works fine!

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, though I can’t reproduce the error using Safari 11.0.3 on OSX, the video is working on my end. Did you try clearing your browser cache and reload the page?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Hi we tested it on 4 devices (Mac OS X) including browserstack and always get a static video screen of youtube video.

could you please test it again on browserstack oder somewhere else?

    thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for the screenshot, though I’m getting an error message when trying to load the page now. Not sure why that is?

    Best regards,

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. Your site is loading again, but I still can’t reproduce the error either in Safari or Chrome? The video is playing fine on my end in both those browsers.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Do you have the chance to replicate the bug via https://www.browserstack.com/ because it definitly isnt loading! on Mac OSX in Safari 11

    Hi,

Did you enable media autoplay in your browser settings? There’s a new media autoplay policy for Safari browsers. Users have to enable it manually.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
