Hi,
I select the widget I want to insert and then Update the page. The page updates correctly, but once the layout builder has reloaded the drop-down doesn’t show the currently applied widget but shows “Display Everywhere”. This creates the impression that this is what’s currently applied and can be confusing to editors. Therefore the behaviour should be changed.
Thanks.

My only guess would be that there is a conflict with one of the installed plugins. As Josue found I’m also not getting the behavior you are on my own dev install.

DevinMay 8, 2014 at 10:15 pm #262025Hi Devin/Josue,
Have you actually looked at our installation? All extensions have been disabled. That should be sufficient, correct? Otherwise it’s a clean WP install.
You are the guys with the knowledge of your system and should be able to pin-point what’s wrong.
Many thanks for looking into it.May 9, 2014 at 1:38 am #262070As we’ve both mentioned this is not something we have any other recorded instance of. With this and the other issues you are having I can only really assume, even with plugins currently disabled, there is some difference or error within the installation/server setup.
Either an extensions somewhere or possibly a permissions issue but without being able to replicate a bug or have multiple instance of it we don’t have anything to go on to hunt down a bug or bugs like this.
May 9, 2014 at 1:42 am #262074Yes, you do have something do go on – our setup. Let me know if you need any other details apart from the access details I’ve already given. Many thanks.
May 10, 2014 at 3:59 pm #262780Hey!
This seems to be a problem with your widget name and the fact that you are using non-standard characters (an em dash in your case)
I will fix the problem with the next update. If you need an immediated solution you can avoid the problem by not using special chars :)Best regards,
KriesiMay 13, 2014 at 6:38 pm #264110Fabulous! Thank you so much, the special characters were the reason. It works without em-dashes.
