Hello,
We’re in the process of setting up a website.
Would like to have a video slider on the front page with 2 buttons that link to a page.
However, the buttons will not function on both Mobile and Desktop.
On mobile it will refer to “about:blank#blocked”.
The buttons only work if i change the video slider to the image slider. Also, there seems to be an annoying gray border at the top and bottom of the video, i did select to stretch the video to fit full screen as long it’s 16:9, which it is.
Best regards,

Thank you for the inquiry.
The buttons are not accessible because of the slider’s permanent caption. You may need to install this plugin in order to fix this issue.
Please provide the FTP details in the private field so that we can activate the plugin and add the necessary adjustments to the slideshow template.

How will the theme respond to the next update after this fix?
Can i update without worrying about certain mechanics becoming dysfunctional again?July 23, 2022 at 10:54 am #1359272Hi ScenesBySevy,
Yes, the plugin has been tested for the upcoming version.
Also, you can setup a staging site and update the theme there first and check if there are issues, and just update the live site once it’s confirmed to have no issues with the staging site.Best regards,

That’s great news, i will add it to the to-do list, thanks.Do i add the plugin myself or will someone else have a look?
July 25, 2022 at 1:24 pm #1359382Hey!
Thank you for the info.
We installed and activated the plugin, and edited the slideshow.js file. It seems to be working correctly, the buttons in the permanent caption are now accessible. Please make sure to purge the cache before testing the page.
Best regards,

Thanks for your prompt action.
On PC (desktop mode) the buttons work & i can also pause the video (i didn’t ask for that, but i think that is a nice feature). However, mobile phone (in Mobile mode, not desktop mode), is still broken, when i press next to the button (on the video) and on the button it opens this blank error page:
Could it have something to do with this line_routePermaCaptionClick
in slideshow.js?Remember that extra feature you added to be able to pause the video?
It may be in conflict with another function, overloading?I also think i found another bug inside the Frontpage > Fullscreen Slider > Styling > Slides.
If i uncheck the option: “Use first slides caption as permanent caption“, it completely removes the link button on mobile phone in mobile mode, However it’s fine on PC.PS: These bugs seem to only occur with video slides, not image slides.
I hope i’m not annoying you with them? :PThank you !

July 31, 2022 at 4:01 pm #1360005I found a solution to avoid getting error on mobile device.
I have enabled a fallback image link for mobile devices, but instead of linking to the image i can also link it to another web page and that seems to work without any errors. It’s a bit of a weird solution, but if it works …
