Hey there,
We have an issue on our website with buddypress and the enfold theme. We recently added buddypress to our site. We have registered the “members” component with a page. For users with the admin role everything works fine. We can browse the member list, view profiles in the frontend on the members page. However, users with the user roles “subscribers” receive a 404 when opening the member page (which works fine for administrators).
I changed the theme to the default wordpress theme and with this theme subscribers can access the members page (which does not work with enfold as a theme). I am a little confused and I ran out of ideas. So far I tried:
– changing permalink structure
– changed theme (as described above)Are there any experiences with such an issue?

Only happens with enfold theme.

I have checked this on my end and it does not behave the same way on your site.
I have noticed you are using Buddypress Version 3.0.0-beta2 while I only have version 2.9.4 which is also the latest in the wordpress plugins repository:Can you try to use 2.9.4? and check if this fixes the issue.
Best regards,
NikkoMay 3, 2018 at 3:25 pm #950834Hey there,
thanks for the effort everyone.
The problem also occured with 2.9.4. I upgraded to the newest beta because it includes a new template and I suspected it might integrate better into enfold.I have absolutely no idea what causes this 404 problem for subscribers. As this seems to be an issue specific to our page, I will stick with my workaround for now and I think it’s not worth wasting your resources. So far, it works without any issues. Though, I will let you know once I found the root cause for this problem.
Meanwhile I found a workaround for my problem. I have created a new role based on the subscriber role (FVIM-Mitglied) and added the capability for editing pages. Once the user role has this capability, users cann access the members page. However, they are able to submit pages for revision and can access theme options from the frontend. I worked around that by denying access to the dashboard via another plugin.
May 3, 2018 at 11:33 pm #951149Hey folks. I have figured it out! The issue was that the subscriber role was missing “read private pages” capability. Stupid me.
Sorry for the mess here!

Glad that you figured it out and that it’s resolved :)
Feel free to comeback if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using Enfold and have a great weekend!Best regards,
