Hi, this refers to an updated website i’m building at new.triggerbell.com as I’ve used Enfold for years and it is awesome.
The original website, http://www.triggerbell.com uses the same theme and doesn’t have this problem so I assume it’s nothing to do with my hosting in Dreamhost.
For some reason, when you click on either of the pages from the home page, the spinning wheel in the middle of the screen seems to hang (ie stop spinning) while the spinning wheel in the browser tab continues to turn.
I have attached a link to a video of this happening.
Another symptom is that when I click on either of the Fitting or Examples links, the home page will remain in view for 4-6 seconds with no change to the URL, while the browser tab wheel spins. When this time has elapsed the URL changes and the correct page shows.
The Home page, Fitting page and Examples page have Pingdom ratings of over 805(and that is without W3 Total Cache being activated), so this doesn’t appear to be a problem with the individual pages, but rather the navigation between them.
Any help appreciated, as apart from this issue, the site just needs to be translated using WPML and we’re good to go. I’ve provided admin access and user details in the Private Content.
Thanks very much and keep up the great work.- This topic was modified 4 years, 8 months ago by cycl1st123. Reason: More information provided

Thanks for the video, I can’t load your site though. I get this error message from Dreamhost:
Site Not Found
Well, this is awkward. The site you’re looking for is not here.Is this your site? Get more info or contact support.

RikardMarch 13, 2020 at 8:35 am #1192841Apologies, do try this one for the new site which displays the issure
The old site, which works great, is http://www.triggerbell.com
March 13, 2020 at 10:54 am #1192855Note the URL in the video. When you go from the home page to one of the other pages, and the spinning wheel in the middle of the screen stops moving for a few second, note the URL. The URL is of the page you are currently on. When the wheel starts spinning again, the URL changes and the page loads nice and quick. So, it looks like something is hanging between clicking a link and redirecting the browser to the desired page. Not sure if this helps….
March 14, 2020 at 4:51 pm #11931091. I have also used Vivid backup to create a backup of this site and then restored that against a new domain (new2.triggerbell.com). The same problem persists
2. I have deactivated all plugins and still the problem persists. Very odd indeedMarch 14, 2020 at 4:52 pm #1193110This also doesn’t relate to Anti virus and I have added new.triggerbell.com to my list of exceptions (as I don’t have an SSL certificate deployed for this site).
March 14, 2020 at 10:29 pm #1193135Hi Rikard
Other things I’ve tested on http://new2.triggerbell.com:
1. Deleted all but 3 pages
2. Deleted ALL plugins
3. Deleted Enfold and reinstalled it
Still the issue persists…
So, just to summarise, this issue manifests itself in two ways:
1. Clicking on a different page opens a blank page, the spinning wheel in the middle of the screen hangs, while the spinning wheel of the Chrome browser window continues. The URL doesn’t change to the target page. After several seconds, the URL changes to the target location, the spinning wheel in the middle of the screen restarts and the target page loads
2. Clicking on a different page retains the current page on screen. The URL doesn’t change but the Chrome browser window wheel continues to spin. After a few seconds the URL changes to the target location and the target page loads.
This behaviour only happens on the first few clicks on the site. Thanks
StefMarch 17, 2020 at 11:00 pm #1193923To add to this thread, I have tried setting new.triggerbell.com to the Twenty Twenty theme. The problem of the 4-6 second delay then goes away completely and the site responds extremely quickly. Therefore I assume this means, given that no plugins are active, that this is an issue with the Enfold theme. Please do help. Thanks

We apologize for the delayed response.
Can you give us FTP access on your site as well?
Just post the credentials in private content.Best regards,

ThanksMarch 18, 2020 at 4:07 pm #1194144Hi cycl1st123,
Thanks, the waiting time seems to be too long before it starts to load.
Can you try to update Enfold to the latest version?Best regards,
NikkoMarch 18, 2020 at 5:26 pm #1194193What’s the version please? I installed version 4.7.3 and the problem persists.
March 19, 2020 at 9:22 am #1194330Hi cycl1st123,
Yes, the latest version of Enfold is 4.7.3
The first circle you see is the Page Transition (this does not change the URL but the request to the server is already made).
After the browser starts fetching the content from the server after it responded that’s the time you see the URL changed and see the spinning wheel/preloader.
I have disabled the preloader and you should only see the spinning wheel, though if I check with web inspector the TTFB or waiting time (time for the server to respond is very long) which is about 6s.
I have imported some of your pages on my end and checked the TTFB or waiting time but the waiting time is 0.5ms only.
This can be improved using a caching plugin, also this article might help: https://wp-rocket.me/blog/how-to-reduce-ttfb-wordpress-site/Best regards,
NikkoMarch 25, 2020 at 12:36 pm #1197651So I had to rebuild my entire site again. This seems to have been an issue with the theme but I couldn’t recreate at what point the navigation broke. Now it works perfectly.
