    Hi Guys,

Trying to figure this out. On sona-grambook.com, a site I’m just getting back to after a long pause on the part of the client an odd thing has occurred. After updating the theme and wordpress/plugins a broken link icon is appearing on the top left of the page in the header while in desktop view mode. Not so in mobile view mode. I had fiddled with the theme back when and have a different logo loading for the mobile version as you can see.

Above is a screenshot showing the issue, although it should be apparent just looking at the site as well with one caveat, it occurs only in the Safari browser. Upon in inspection there using developer mode in the Safari browser it shows under images as ‘385’. There is no suffix like .jpg or .png. There’s nothing in the media library as such either. Frankly I am befuddled as to what this is. It wasn’t there before.

Could you please take a look/ Thanks so much.

    Hey tonyiatridis,

Thanks for the login details. I can’t see a broken link though, the logo is showing fine on my end using Chrome. How can we reproduce the problem you are seeing on your end?

    Best regards,

    Hi Rickard,

As I mentioned it only happens in Safari. I’ve confirmed the icon appears on more than one Mac. There’s a file which is named ‘385’ with no suffix listed when I look at the site in developer mode on a Mac. Is there some function of the site that would have applied a such a number as some sort of default? Very puzzling.

    Thanks,

    Tony

    Hi Tony,

Sorry for that, I didn’t read your message carefully enough. The file which is showing seems to be the transparency logo, Enfold->Header->Transparency options. I’m not sure why it’s appearing like that in Safari though. I’ll ask the rest of the team to have a look as well. Please reply to this thread so that it gets added back to our support queue.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Well I did see that the number 385 was entered in the transparency logo field though I’m not sure why. I placed a blank, transparent png file in there and the broken link has disappeared.

We worked on this site ages ago and just now have gotten back to it. If you look in the desktop view, make the window small enough so you can scroll you’ll see the header graphic changes on the desktop view to use the same graphic in the header on the mobile view which I thought was pretty cool. To be honest though I don’t recall how I achieved this.

My new question is can I just eave this as it is now, or is something maybe not kosher about how I pulled this off?

    Thanks,

    Tony

    Hi Tony,

It seems like you have imported a demo but transparent logo was not imported correctly so when you replaced it with a blank one, that fixed it.

You have chosen to display transparent header in your pages and placed a Color Section element on top of the pages with background image. When you scroll down, your logo shows up. I would not say this is ideal, because you are going to need to add Color Section element to the top of each new page, but it is fine if it works for you :)

If you post a screenshot showing the desired result, we can try to help you come up with a better solution :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit
