    Hey guys,

    I followed the directions here in order to make a child theme for my website.

    However, the child theme will work for about five to twenty minutes, and then the entire site will break and give me a 500 internal server error. I end up having to disable the child theme to get back to the dashboard.

    Any thoughts? I’d really like to use a child theme to prevent issues from popping up in the future.

    Hi riberusa!

    Turn on WordPress debugging, https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress, and check your server error logs to see if there is any information on the error.
