    Can you help me with this? Wondering why my site doesn’t rank wel and I found that
    I have all these broken back links,

    I cannot for the life of me figure these out. Can you help with what may cause these?

    405 Method Not Allowed https://www.survivalfoodngear.com/xmlrpc.php link/href >>>>NOT SURE WHAT THIS LINK IS.

    and a bunch of these for square Woocommerce

    404 Not Found https://www.survivalfoodngear.com/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-square/vendor/skyverge/wc-plugin-framework/woocommerce/payment-gateway/assets/images/card-cc-plain.svg style: .wc-block-checkout__payment-me

    But the payment seems to be working

    Can you help with this??

    Hey extraeyes,
    /xmlrpc.php ▸ XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only. = this should not be a backlink
    please see this article: How to Disable XML-RPC in WordPress
    The card-cc-plain.svg is a 404, no image found, even though the payment works the image is not found, try using FTP to find the card-cc-plain.svg image in the woocommerce-square plugin and place in the correct path or ask the plugin author to give you a copy of it so you can add it to your site, perhaps they forgot to add it to the plugin?

    Thank you. I get the first part, but the second part seems above my head. Will give it a try. Thank you.

    update. The plug-ins do not remove it. I am a lay person so can’t put code in the back end. I tried two different plug in and it is still there. Getting this when testing it. XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only. I have the RANK MATH plug in and changed some settings still nothing.

    2nd back link issue – I cant seem to find any help from woocommerce unless I have a paid plug in which I do not.

    Any other advice would be appreciated

    Hi,
    Please note that the /xmlrpc.php is not public use, see this post. So you don’t want it to show as a backlink, and it should correctly show as broken.
    You didn’t say where you are seeing the backlink to /xmlrpc.php, I assume that it is in your Google search console, if so you can just ingore these.
    If you follow the steps above then it will take time for Google to stop looking at this link.
    According to this post the /xmlrpc.php 405 error doesn’t effect SERPS.

    Thank you. I forgot to mention these three that I cannot figure out. On the front page https://www.photomagx.com Can you take a minute to help on these two? THANK YOU!!! it refers to the front page.

    Hi,
    When I check your page I don’t see these errors, but the first two are the same /xmlrpc.php file that is not for public use, that is why you will see a 403 Forbidden if someone trys to load it, this is the correct response.
    the last one is a 404 Not Found for a font, but I don’t see this when I check.
