    Howdy,
    I want to change permanently the breadcrumbs’ English ‘you are here’ to German ‘Sie sind hier’.
    I did that using Poedit, but after updating the theme everything disappeared again.
    Even copying the relevant files into a folder of the same name in the directory of the child theme was unsuccessful.
    What can I do?

    Which language did you select under Settings->General in WordPress?

    sorry for the late reply.
    The chosen language is German.

    Hi Stefan,

    If you change the language to Deutsch (Sie), then the breadcrumbs should change to the formal version.
