Hi dear Enfold wizards,
I’m not even sure how to express my problem/wish in topic title, but I try my best to explain. In the screenshot you can see what is my goal: slider photo that is all the time as wide as the text area below it, like in boxed layout. But is it possible to have a fullscreen color background for the slider/photo as in the screenshot?
At this point I use fullscreen layout and an image where this pink color is attached to the photo: it of course means that when I scale the page, the photo itself and captions dislocate. This is the thing I’d like to prevent, but how? Is it even possible to create slider this way? There will not be other photos in the slider, only one, but captions and button are needed.
By the way, also the captions and button dislocate and partly disappear when scaling the page: how can I fix that?
Happy for all your answers and help! :)

Could you provide us with a link to the site in question so that we can take a closer look please?
Thanks,

April 18, 2016 at 11:35 am #616293Hey!
your screenshots from first post are not really accessible for me. Can you check please?
However, I think you can create the layout you wish. Just use stretched layout and use layout elements from alb and add some inner padding values to them.Best regards,
AndyApril 20, 2016 at 9:05 am #618082Hi,
do you have access to that demo link i sent? I’ll put all links here again.
I already use stretched layout, but I have problems with Fullwidth easy slider. I’m not even sure if it is the best choice of slider here, when what I’m trying to achieve is 1) a photo that is equal in size with page/text area (also when scaling/mobile view) and 2) color background to the photo that spreads fullwidth of the screen (both sides of the photo). So, when I scale the page, mostly that colored background is decreasing or increasing and the photo stays in it’s place (and caption over the photo). At this moment, because I don’t know how to do this, I have made a wide photo that includes this background color, which means that when I scale the page, the image and captions dislocate and of course the photo goes very narrow horizontally in mobile view.
There is also a problem with FW easy sliders captions, they do not scale properly and that button disappears in mobile view (and this is because photo goes so narrow). I have tried to fix this somehow to get reasonable solution: this page is a temporary kinda teaser-page, and there will be a bigger, final site later using this same layout. Now there’s only this one photo, but in the final site there will be more photos and captions in slider. So if you can give me a hint what slider is the best for this purpose with specs above (and also works nicely with mobile view), I’ll be so happy to hear it. :)
Thank you,

quite difficult to imagine what you need. Can you provide us a mockup showing the results you want to achieve please?

AndyApril 20, 2016 at 10:56 am #618157Hi Andy,
so sorry I can’t explain this clearly, it is hard to do even with my native language! :D I hope you can see my “desired result” mockups attached, and mostly I hope I made them understandable enough.
Thanks again,

can you provide us a precise link to your site showing the elements in question please? we need to be able to inspect the elements.
Cheers!

here you go Andy – thanks.
April 22, 2016 at 10:25 am #619699Hi!
not sure what you want to achieve. Basically you want to shrink your Fullwidth Easy Slider, right? why not use Easy Slider element instead of Fullwidth Easy Slider?

AndyApril 22, 2016 at 11:43 am #619784Hi Andy,
I will use any kind of slider if it has the possibility to have that color fullwidth background which I have sketched in those mockups (do they open for you now?). :) Easy slider would be the perfect solution for the photo itself, but my problem is how to put a color area as a background to this photo so that the color area goes fullwidth from left and right of the photo. So it would be like Easy slider with photo, and “under” it a fullwidth background color. Photo is not supposed to go fullwidth, only the color area.
I really hope you can catch my idea,

April 22, 2016 at 12:51 pm #619874Hey!
so why not use an Easy Slider element inside of a Color Section element?

AndyApril 22, 2016 at 2:18 pm #619959OMG yes that’s the answer! How didn’t I think of that?? No wonder you had difficulties understanding me, this is such a simple and obvious solution. :D
Big hugs to you and thanks for being so patient with me! :)
