Hi there, the layouts of the blog posts really don’t work for me, which is why introducing the advanced layout editor to blog posts was great for me.
Sadly, when adding a blog posts element to a page it only shows the title, meta info and read more tag rather than what I’ve created in the blog posts (I have selected Full Content in the blog posts element)
Is there a way to get the blog posts element to show my whole blog post when it’s been created with the advanced layout builder? Sadly my whole site will need to be redesigned in a different theme if I can find a workaround as just adding the blog posts straight to the page makes the page extremely long and that’s why I needed them as blog posts so that i could use pagination.
Thanks,
Matt
Hello,
I have the same issue but instead of showing the full content, I set mine to show excerpts along with a read more link. My clients much prefer using the Advanced Layout Editor as opposed to the Default editor and they would love to be able to use the Advanced Editor as opposed to the Default editor. The typical blog posts usually consists of an image above a paragraph of text. They are not using the Featured Image section to insert the image but rather using the Image widget from the Content Elements. We would like to pull an excerpt of the text in the front page.
Please let us know how to go on with this issue. If this case is too different, let me know if I should create my own thread.
Many thanks,
DI
Hi!
Unfortunately not. You can set a custom excerpt when writing the post and that will get displayed. When using the layout builder on posts it makes it behave like a page though.
I don’t know of any workarounds we can do currently.
