I set my Home page as static, and my blog is on my Blog page. When I try to alter the Template or the side bar and the header and title settings on my Blog page and refresh, it reverts it all to my Home page. I set it to no sidebar, and it shows a right sidebar. I set it to only Title, and it reverts it all to my Home page. In my Blog Post settings, I set it to Excerpt with read more, and it shows the whole post. I insert a Slider and image and it doesn’t show up. Help!

I’ve used these same settings on all pages, but Blog page is only one that won’t play nice.

    Hey jenna_atkinson!

You setup a static page in Dashboard > Settings > Reading? If so then remove that. You’ll need to setup the home and blog pages in Dashboard > Enfold > Theme Options and then edit the pages you have set and change their sidebar layout, etc etc.

    Cheers!

Hmm. I did this yet I still have issues.
On the blog page, I inserted a full width slider but it isn’t showing up.
I want the blog style to show excerpts with read more link (I did choose this option), but I get full length posts.
On the Title Bar Settings, I say Hide both, yet the Title bar is showing.
Under Widgets, I have a Sidebar Blog set up with Enfold FB Likebox + 3 others – the Likebox doesn’t appear yet the 3 others do (RSS, Categories, Tags)

Also I can’t figure out the difference between a socket and widget in the footer. (just need to find a good tutorial on that)

But I really do think there’s either a problem with my blog page, or I have a major misunderstanding of what rules have precedent. I’m not having a problem on any other page. thank goodness.

    Thank you!

    Hi!

If your trying to customize the blog page then you’ll need to remove the blog page setting you have setup in Dashboad > Enfold > Theme Options and then use our blog posts shortcode. Or you could leave that option set and create a new page with the blog posts shortcode.

The footer displays first and holds the footer widgets which you can setup in Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets. The socket displays beneath the footer and holds the copyright info + footer menu.

    Regards,
